Re: Blackadder
I know what you mean, but I'm mostly thinking of the anti-war dialogue. I've also learned about the causes of World War 1...it seems like a really stupid accident, basically a bunch of nations going full retard. Dropping a glass or two, panicking, and running around screaming and thrashing the place...

Re: What kind of Dyspraxia do I have?
Thing is, I was inspired by a rather fit woman, someone in her 40's, who looks more like she's in her 30's, with the ass and chest of a 21 year old, who mentioned she had gross motor problems growing up, and it didn't stop her becoming a martial arts instructor. Besides that, I know not everyone wit...

Re: Different people, different difficulties
I wouldn't doubt we still have it, as I've mentioned before, the example of David Bailey sleeping with models and getting asked for autographs from RAF Officers. I don't know how some guys think, but for me, manliness is about...you know. A lot of people can, say, be blind or deaf, Dyslexic or be mi...

Re: Fiction and Dyspraxia
Wouldn't some of those traits be more Aspergers than Dyspraxia? I know they can overlap, but, having Dyspraxia doesn't necessarily mean you're not good at reading body language or that you don't have any social intelligence. I looked up the character, he does have the clumsy part down to a T. I know...

Re: Blackadder
At least the series is something that can be watched again, and again, and again, without an episode getting boring.

What kind of Dyspraxia do I have?
I remember being diagnosed as having Dyspraxia when I was 12, a while after that I tried putting it out of my mind, for years actually, and I'm still not sure how my type of Dyspraxia would be described. It caused me a lot of difficulties at school, mainly because of my writing. I got so much crap a...

Fiction and Dyspraxia
I recently found out about an anime I WISH I got to see when I was a child for something to identify with, it's this whole franchise that's been around since the 70's called "Doraemon", and the main character, Nobita Nobi, shows so many symptoms of Dyspraxia. He's described as clumsy, forg...

Re: Different people, different difficulties
Hopefully. I'm 24, and Idk how many around my age were screwed over, but, the school I attended was another underfunded working class craphole, so, that might have something to do with it...teachers actually openly told students that they probably wouldn't get into good universities, while laughing....

Blackadder
Anyone here like the show Blackadder? I used to watch it constantly as a teenager, and the character Edmund was an idol of mine, the one from the second series who went by "Lord Blackadder", and was able to talk his way in and out of most things. I enjoyed all the series though, was hoping...

Different people, different difficulties
I cannot stress how annoyed I am by the generalizations involved with Dyspraxia, and how some(possibly fakers who don't have it at all...people negging on the condition?) make it out as if Dyspraxia=Beta. I know, I know. I hate people who go on about the alpha and beta **** myself, but, I just see s...

My life
Okay, I thought it's about time I elaborate on my experiences with Dyspraxia a bit. When I was young, my school wrote me off as stupid. I had terrible handwriting, they thought I was a slow learner, I got held back, a whole fiasco of a youth being told I'm DIFFERENT in one way or another. It wasn't ...

Re: My Boyfriend Has Dyspraxia
I think if there is a disorder, people just tend to lump difficulties in with that. The truth is that he might just be that way, not because of Dyspraxia, but because that's just how some guys are. I'm not. I tend to be a great listener, and I know to concentrate on what another person's saying and ...

Re: Not defined by a label
I'd go as far as saying...and have told friends, that I'm PROUD of being Dyspraxic. It causes atypical thinking. I know that everyone's expected to be the same, I could almost see some authoritarian western government going as far as making us all wear grey jumpsuits, and maybe making anyone who's d...
