Do you swing your arms when walking?

Do you swing your arms when walking? This question was posed on autism forum. I had never thought about it so I went out for a walk to see. I don't.

That damned cafetiere

Oh well , that was a waste of money . Cafetiere came .You have to assemble the inner parts together . Cue me going into idiot mode. Can I do it? Can I *%^! ! . That's what you get for having the non-verbal intelligence of a brain dead gnat and motor skills that suck big time . It's going to have to ...

Dyspraxia and bowel/toilet problems

Referring to these two articles https://thesensitivegut.com/2016/12/20/dyspraxia-but-are-your-bowels-awkward-as-well/ and https://gilldixon.blogspot.com/2018/07/toilet-troubles-dyspraxiadcd.html I have always been prone to constipation but never connected it to dyspraxia . On quite a few occasions I...

Re: Ring pulls

I looked at that Tom . I can't see how you'd open pull tabs with it.

Ring pulls

Last week I threw away a ring pull tin of scallops because after being unable to pull the ring pull back I resorted in vain to trying to open it with a kitchen knife. That lead me to looking for a gadget to help. https://www.completecareshop.co.uk/kitchen-aids/bottle-and-jar-openers/bottle-multi-ope...

Welcome Philip. My mother always thought me 'awkward' and not necessarily in a physical sense.

Re: What do you think about getting charged for assessments?

It's not perfect for the younger generation re diagnosis but it's certainly better than when I was a child/teenager over 43 years ago. I have letters from my prep school headmaster to my public school headmaster mentioning poor coordination , also poor at drawing and writing, and public school repor...

Re: Average IQ of Dyspraxics

There's nothing that gives anything precise like 100-110. What is said is that dyspraxics tend to have average to above average intelligence. What is said is that verbal IQ tends to be markedly higher than performance IQ. http://sci-hub.tw/10.1016/j.acn.2003.12.007 See 2 .2.1 re performance IQ and p...

At what age did you learn to swim , or can't you swim?

At what age did you learn to swim , or can't you swim? Although described as poorly coordinated I first learnt to swim at the beach at Pataya when I was 6. I mainly swim slow breaststroke only, very occasionally doing front crawl. I swim with my head above water. I don't like swimming underwater.
