Re: Trying to predict the future
Hi Dargx, First of I'm not a parent my self however I can understand your anxieties, I get the impression you see Dyspraxia as some kind of sentence that's been passed on your daughter it really not. I was also diagnosed with Dyspraxia (although a little older about 12) and I also have Cerbral Palsy...

Re: Can I do it?
Hi Tanv, I'd always say give it a go (which you may well have by now :) ) what's the worst that could happen? you don't get the job and you've lost nothing (not that I'm saying you wont get it) or you may get it and love it but if you don't try you'll never know. I agree with Ram that you should tel...

Re: Societys dyspraxic "mental block" ?
Ironically this type of confusion and mixing up of words in some quarters might be construed to be a 'dyspraxic thing' Yup that is quite ironic really, funny in a way :) . Dont get me wrong I can see why a lot of people get confused if they have'nt come across it before its the people that have bee...

Re: Dyspraxic + LGB
Actually I kind of get the opposite, I'm straight but on a number of occasions I've been either "hit on" by guys or people have just assumed it. I've no idea why I've asked both straight and gay friends and acquaintances if I'm particularly camp (since I'm not to good with the whole body l...

Re: Scared of being in a relationship but also scared of being alone.
Hi Tom,
Thanks its good to know someone sort of gets where I'm coming from, atm I just feel a little like I'm being steam rollered by events into a dammed if I do and dammed if I don't kind of situation, still hopefully I'll be able to see things a little clearer when they've calmed down.

Scared of being in a relationship but also scared of being alone.
Hi All, Sorry if this sounds like a bit of an incoherent rant but its 1:30 am and I feel like I could really do with getting something of my chest to people who may understand. :) Well, at the moment i'm kinda going through a bad time everything seems to be hitting at once, I'm about to buy a house ...

Re: Dyspraxia Foundation
Yup me too I've been a member for a couple of years now, but like Tom says it seems to be very child focused, lots of support groups for moms with dyspraxic kids etc. but nothing for adults, seems like once you get past about 18 your on your own .
