Re: About to get fired, need some advice.

Hi Keepgoingup2, does your boss know you have dyspraxia? if yes/no, as far as I am aware it doesn't matter. I would seek out Citizens Advice on Disability Discrimination Act. as if your boss decides enough is enough. my problem is definitely speed, as my left hand doesn't speak to my right hand, and...

Re: Can adults/people with dyspraxia type and use cell phones (Needing advice and answers)

yes they can type, even without good hand-eye co-ordination. I am probably four times the speed on the computer than I would be if writing this by hand. still not fast, but an awful lot better than if I was writing it. the trouble that I have found with the NHS is they can't be bothered unless somet...

Re: Hello

welcome to the forum fourseventeen19. well one thing we do know is that the spectrum for Dyspraxia is very closely linked to it's more well known brother/sister!! lol of Dyslexia. but yeah it is a similar story to what I get all the time, why are you chasing us? go see your GP if you got problems. b...

Re: Do I have dyspraxia?

Hi Cari, Welcome to the forum, I know how you feel, as regular as clock work something remind me of my problems. I on the other hand did make life long friends, but very limited number of them. as still friends with someone I was in Primary school with, and still friends some nearly 32 years later. ...

Re: escalters

Yes, think most of us will agree that we have had fun with Escalators in out time, the trouble is now they switch them on to go super sonic as well, like one shop I know does, so it is just safer taking the escalator. and I also find that I am worse if I stop walking as well, and think about my timi...

Re: Hello from Perth & Kinross

Welcome to the forum David, try asking your parents if they got you tested when you were younger, as I got my diagnosis in a medical report from October 86. my parents were always trying to get me tested to find out what was wrong with me. and as I didn't really care at the time, as school was going...

Re: Dog walking

Hi Nicky, I wouldn't worry about the extendable lead, the only thing you got to watch is that it doesn't go slack, my parents used to have a springer spaniel, and would have to take him out on a chock chain lead, he never learned the more you pull the tighter the lead would get around his neck. so a...

Re: Help! I can't drive!

Alislovesools, The biggest thing you, and your driving instructor need to remember is relaxation, get used to the car, how quickly you can stop the car, how smoothly to pull away, get to know the car, and feel comfortable driving the car, it needs to be your super special best friend that you never ...

Re: Parking Ticket

yeah I had one ticket the one day many years ago, as taken family to Cardiff, and parked in a car park, couldn't see any signs for Pay here, so got a parking ticket, as in a rush to get to the Courts. but if you can appeal do so, as think it is criminal for the charges, when it is only really change...

Re: Does any one forget this and how do u rember it?

Welcome to the forum, yes I always have problems with keys etc. the only way I manage to get around it is to put my keys in a specific place all the time, so that I can find them again, the problems begin when looking for something at last minute after picking up my keys. then they vanish into thin ...

Re: Help in Sheffield?

Welcome to the forum Neil, as for an adult to be diagnosed, then it is nearly impossible, unless as most people say you got to be in full time education, or have loads of money to get a diagnosis privately. while GP's are good some of the time, they seem to spread too thinly with knowledge, and don'...

Re: The moan and groan thread

the easiest way I found to remember to put my phone on to charge is to plug it in as soon as I get home, and as got into a habbit of not sitting down until done 3 things, put my phone on charge, said hello to my cat, and made myself a drink, and checked my cat doesn't need food or anything.
