Re: News article

Better than nothing but as soon as I saw the line “So what is dyspraxia, what are the symptoms and how common is it? Here's everything you need to know“ I was thinking, well yeah... good luck with that.

Re: Dyspraxia Learing to drive

We dyspraxics tend to give up easily because of our history of difficulty with learning new things and the humiliation that caused. It's not easy. Hmm, I don’t think I agree. I usually found that a sense of determination stops me from giving up until after I’ve exhausted every last bit of resilienc...

Re: I fear that my Dyspraxia will affect my future job

Telesales /work in callcentres is readily available as there is often a high turnover of staff. Not for me as would do my head in personally but some people have the aptitude and desire for it. I just don't think I could enjoy it personally. Some people here have tried. I believe people are general...

Re: Is my daughter Dyspraxic?

Apart from general difficulties with her motor skills there is relatively little information in there to judge. Being untidy isn’t really a fair pointer towards dyspraxia. The fact that she herself has recognised things within herself and researched it leading to her suspicion about a hoarding disor...

Re: Driving in a foreign country?

I would suggest perhaps a road trip to France first. And stay away from bigger towns and cities. This would at least give you a feel for the other side of the road so to speak and of the autoroutes.

It’s a bit, shall we say ‘compact’ in Italy and it can be quite manic.

Good luck.

Re: Dyspraxia doesn't define me but it does affect me....

Hi and welcome. Awareness of dyspraxia amongst the wider general public tends to be on the low side. It’s inevitable that people can be dismissive of the ‘small’ things which we may struggle with that they’d possibly take for granted without much thought. It can get depressing. As frustrating as it ...

Re: Greetings

On the face of it, Kubica & Russell seem a lot more exciting and promising than Stroll and Sirotkin but the drivers were the least of the problem. Even Williams have admitted it, the car was a pile of poo. Mind you, they had a strong year in 2014 which followed the indecently embarrassing 2013.....

Re: Hello

Welcome .

Your choice whether to drive or not is diddly squat of their business. Especially if the transport links for not driving are invariably the more effective way of commuting in London anyway.

Yes mate

I’m a life long Williams supporter... which is currently a tad depressing. But that’s how it goes sometimes.

Welcome.

Re: Hi there, I am new!

Hello welcome to the big world of dyspraxia. I think the single best bit of advice to give, is just have a little bit of patience. Like with anything else every dyspraxic person is unique and it affects people in different ways there is no one size fits all. Now that he has a diagnosis and as long a...

Re: ASD and dyspraxia- how much are they related?

There’s definitely a lot BS about anything online. But he’s also shut down that question and actually missed the point somewhat. He’s managed to narrow down his definition of dyspraxia down to speech. Which is incredibly short sighted for if you remove the word ‘verbal’ then dyspraxia opens up to co...

Re: explaining dyspraxia to family or not?

Presumably I live on the same planet as you do. It is indeed extremely unlikely to begin a medical career in your 60/70s. But my point stands, it’s not unheard of people to occupy themselves with new studies after their retirement. Sometimes, not often perhaps some get to utilise those new gain skil...
