Re: Help me learn how to remember

Is there a way/technique that you use to help your memory? ](*,) Are we talking long or short term memory or both. Many of us with dyspraxia often have to contend with a degree of added anxiety and/or racing thoughts which on there can impede our ability to remember things. There are various tools ...

Re: Hey!

Hi, my name is Darren. I'm 34 and work as a security guard in Newcastle. I live in a nearby town. I was diagnosed with dyspraxia as a child around when I started primary school. I'm also on the waiting list for ADHD. I joined to discuss and get support for dyspraxia as I sometimes struggle with it ...

I'm a bit less exacting and not as much my own harshest critic as I used to be. I strive for a degree of perfection but better at knowing when that may not be possible. I can follow a recipe but not a massive fan of multi-componnent meals where you need to have everything planned to be ready at more...

Re: I think i might have dyspraxia

What aspects do you find most difficult? I have a fitted sheet on the bottom. A flat sheet I sleep under and my duvet. There is only me in my flat so noone to pass judgement on my skill or lack of. Changing duvet cover involves me crawling into it with duvet to place corners and becoming phantom of ...

There's no requirement to provide examples to be accepted here. Think they're called a turntable plate or something like that. Agree they can be a pain to seat properly as you have to line up the lugs in the base of your microwave with those on bottom of turntable. Definitely something to potentiall...

Re: I think i might have dyspraxia

I am 34 female. Currently jobhunting. Have worked in a library, worked with children, volunteered in a charity shop, volunteered in an office. I have an undergraduate degree and a postgraduate degree, but still can't find a job. Ever since I was an undergraduate student, I had doubts about having d...

Hi Tom/Thomas? Welcome to the Forum. In order to help people could you tell us a little about where you're from (just general e.g town/city/county/region or country) if you prefer) and a little more about how you came to be assessed and the route you took. Getting diagnosis/formal confirmation is so...

Re: Professional relationship support

Hi there I can definitely empathise as I've always been inveterately single and am now well into my 40s Regrettably people on dating sites can be (and/or very much feel like they're) unforgiving and fickle. It's like a sweet shop and no one seems to quite know exactly what they want or need. It feel...
