Re: Should I stick with my current work Sector???
I am quite lucky with the fact that I have had supportive work colleagues and did have a supportive management team. my first care setting was a nursing home which I didn't do well in and I honestly thought it was because I was supporting elderly people that I did not do very well. (very stupid) so ...

Should I stick with my current work Sector???
I know it is my decision at the end of the day and my decision is that I would love to continue into this sector but I find it impossible to do so. Is it possible to even consider studying Social Care when I have got fired three times(!!!!) 1) for forgetting most things 2) getting lost, not remember...

Re: Shoes
I am glad it has healed. Did sound very painful. Good luck with the rest of the physio and hope the weather becomes better for better walking conditions. I have no idea what has over come the weather during the last month or so.

Re: Shoes

(general) ouch, I am sorry. was that a while ago or is your shoulder still recovering? am lucky that I do not fall over, just bump into people/ get in t...

Re: Shoes
That is unfortunate. I thought my feet were a hassle being wide and bigger then my younger brothers. Honestly thought shops would cater to all sorts of clothes and shoes for the individual. For me I love New Look because they do shoes for the wider feet so could try and look their? I mean obviously ...

Re: Shoes
I do not have a problem with it my self as if I did I would be able to feel they are the wrong way round, (though with people around this can sometimes be quite hard), its with putting shoes on people I find most difficult. I did not know there was a curve going in and they would be pointing in rath...

Re: Shoes
To Alleycat Thank you. I also worked in a nursery though this was part of my work experience. I tried to avoid the children's laces/shoes like the plague. I always went to the ones that had Velcro on and tried to take my time so I wouldn't get bombarded with shoes. I think the staff though I was a l...

Re: Insensitive family members
Again, I feel lucky when I read some of these posts. I am sorry to hear about your parents or I guess your dads negative reaction. Me and my dad have a very solid relationship but when I told him about my firing and horrible work history I eventually told him I got told I could be Dyspraxic. He dism...

Re: Taking some things literally
Oh no I meant that's you as in he was talking about me, sorry I tend to talk like that while explaining about something. no he isn't, though he can be late in going to places, he gets rather angry if I accidently trip over a wire or forget to get something for him when I go shopping "how hard i...

Re: The Dyspraxicia Foundation's film
I know and I am sure many people will benefit from the video, kind of like I did in a small way. Haha i get that, I just meant to say there are so many films or information about children it was nice to see something about adults, though saying that I did the one about this guy who explained about D...

Re: The Dyspraxicia Foundation's film
This video was/is on another thread, so you might not get as many views as you like, but then again you might.
I like the video, it provided good information about adults and not so much children which is always an added bonus if you are an adult

Re: do people notice dyspraxia
Reading through some peoples experiences, where I live must be quite tolerable. I have had people (Managers, Collages and maybe even friends and teachers) who must think there is something not quite right. I even had someone directly come up to me and say "what is wrong with you" and a few...

The last film I saw at the cinema was Toy Story 3 and on DVD Adam. Both were really good and emotional at the end.

Re: Taking some things literally
haha, that would have been interesting to watch, when I read the 1st part I was thinking you had like a taser gun or something that you used to shoot down the police officer, but was relieved and was smiling as I read the 2nd part, maybe the police aren't so bad as they saw the funny side. :) A dang...
