Finding an instructor who is tuned to your learning style and sufficiently nvested in getting you through the test successfully is v often a challenge. Re: Suspition of Dyspraxia

Hello, everyone, My name is Catia and I come from Portugal. I was never followed by a doctor or a specialist since I was a child. However, looking back, I realized that I needed a children's devellopment specialist. I was clumsy since I was a child and I always had a very bad coordination. I was al...

Re: diagnosis of dyspraxia on the NHS as a child

I know 2 people who are children, one in primary school, one aged 13. They are suspected to have dyspraxia. Can one obtain a dyspraxia on the NHS ? I think it might be possible for the primary school , but it is a postcode lottery. For the teen, it is much harder. I believe an adult diagnosis of dy...

Re: Developmental Questionnaire.

My whole life I've been frustrated not understanding or knowing my issue. I answered yes to nearly all of these questions, and the ones I didn't may have been compensated for by early childhood development (my dad's a musician and I'm good with rhythm, early use of computers). Appalling to me no be...

Re: Suggestion: mental health section

Mental health is such an important topic, and having a dedicated section on the forums for discussions, resources, and support can make a significant difference. It would indeed let people know that it's okay to open up about their problems and that there's a community ready to listen and help Ment...

Re: Credit rating

I suspect HMRC might be a bit worried that certain people might falsely claim they're affected when they're not and due to the difficulties of getting confirmation that one is affected, those that really need such a break might not actually be able to prove they're eligible. Even though I don't driv...

Re: Having good friends but becoming anxious

My advice would be to find a way to manage the associated anxiety. That's not easy as we both care and worry a lot.

It can be hard to unpick why but lower self-esteem and rejection sensitivity can be part of it. Affirmations might be one idea to try to limit the fear/worry

Re: Dyspraxia and emotions

Hi Dan Welcome Back I'd say a lot of it comes with experience, knowing when and where we have influence and when to care or not care. I didn't learn about Dyspraxia till my mid 30s and my strategy was trying to chase perfection and/or at least try to exert some control. That's pretty much impossible...

Re: Work project issues

Are your colleagues also having difficulty finding the time to devote to doing the work necessary to keep their project work up to date? Are you adequately resourced in terms of number of people in the team? All too often we worry we may be the 'weakest link' but that might not necessarily be the ca...

Re: Work project issues

Could you ask to have a day or a morning or afternoon set aside for when you're not required to answer calls/emails from customers so that you can concentrate on your assigned project. I def find I have some ADHD like traits and can be easily distracted by constant need to deal with 'meet and drink'...
