Re: Drinking and addictive behaviour
Yeah, I’ve had that "all or nothing" pattern too. I went almost a year without drinking, thinking I had it under control, but when stress kicked in, I went back to drinking most nights. What helped eventually was realizing I was using it to fill a gap, usually boredom or loneliness, just like you m ...

Re: Dispraxia and insomnia
That weird, patternless insomnia that shows up even when things are calm, it’s like your body forgot to send the sleep signal. I found out through my clinic that it’s sometimes tied to the way our nervous system responds to minor imbalances, not necessarily big emotional triggers. There’s a treat ...

Re: JobCentre Plus
The JobCentre’s more about ticking boxes than actually helping. They push you into anything, even if it’s not a good fit, and those work experience placements? No real job at the end. Feels

Re: Best phone
Galaxy A53 5G is pretty solid, right? I’ve had mine for a while too, and it's been through a lot.

Re: Dyspraxia memory and sleep
That’s not uncommon. Dyspraxia can mess with memory and focus during the day, but at night, when everything's calmer, your brain seems to work better. It’s probably stress and distractions that get in the way during the day. Would be nice if we could keep that sharpness all day!

Re: Solo Travel
I love solo travel. It's different from regular travel, but you need to be more prepared, especially with internet access. Roaming can get expensive, and using a local SIM is risky (I've been scammed many times). I learned my lesson the hard way on my last trip to Egypt. I ended up using this ...

Re: Dyspraxia and gym
When learning new movements in training feels sluggish it makes sense and I understand completely. You need to go steadily in your training while being kind to yourself. When you start feeling upset take a break to focus on easy elements such as keeping your shoulders in a proper position or opening ...

Re: The Benefits of Marriage Counseling for Newlyweds: Building a Strong Foundation
I think it’s a great idea to mention marriage counseling for newlyweds. A lot of people assume counseling is only for when things go wrong, but setting up a solid foundation early on can really pay off. It’s all about learning to communicate well, handle disagreements, and get on the same page about ...

Re: I think I might have dyspraxia
Hey Xoxoluke, welcome! Your symptoms of clumsiness and difficulty focusing combined with easy overwhelm point heavily toward dyspraxia. You should schedule a talk with your family doctor about this condition even if you don't have access to enough support. They can show you useful methods to handle ...

Re: Falling under stress/ anxiety
I can share something that has helped me manage stress and anxiety, which might be beneficial for others, too: breathing exercises . My personal favorite technique is progressive muscle relaxation. I like it because it involves systematically tensing and then relaxing different muscle groups in your ...

Re: Gardening
Hi Tim egrettably we're not as busy as Social Media where a lot of the discussion is. We've had professionals in the Horticultural mention gardening before. While the pace is slower here that can be a distinct advantage sometimes too. Did you see private message? Yes, I saw your message. Thanks for ...

Gardening
Is there anyone here who gardens as a hobby?
I really love being surrounded by plants, I like their greenery, and I feel as though I rejuvenate among them. The connection with plants helps me a lot with everyday life.
But do you have a garden? What do you have in it?
