When you forget a item that you needed to get from the shop more than twice or when you have to question your self on what you just did

hi everyone

And does anybody else find that they can speak fast and you don’t even realise it till somebody tells you you or is it the opposite when are you speaking . If so what things do to manage it ?

If the directions are given verbally only it just really Bewilders me really but it happens every time someone has tried to teach me to use the washing machine and That’s by giving me both verbal and practical directions .
