Re: Tills, Managers and starting work
Well whether you have dyspraxia or not, isolation can result in severe depression. I think this is even more significant than confirming a diagnosis of dyspraxia at the moment. Are you able to seek professional help for your depression? I think this would be the first step especially if you are havi...

Re: Disability line etiquette
I agree that one cannot always tell by looking at someone that they are disabled--they may have ASD, tourettes, any number of disabilities that cannot be seen that makes it difficult for them to wait in line. I'm just saying that if I were in a situation where seemingly young healthy people were cut...

Lost a New Friend Again
I have a good NT friend with whom I used to work some years ago. We became very close friends for a number of years and then lost contact. I think or know, I should say that I come across as too needy especially when I'm going through something upsetting. Recently I noticed she's been avoiding me an...

Dyspraxia and Handwriting
I have always had handwriting issues--it takes me a long time to write things so that they are legible. I've been having a lot of trouble submitting forms electronically for my job ( which is not my fault ---it's their fault). Insurance companies play a lot of games to make sure it is difficult and ...

Re: Telephone Anger
there's really nothing more I can do so I don't expect more help than anyone could possibly offer. I think I just needed to vent it and I appreciate that you took the time and effort to respond.

Telephone Anger
I have a job which requires lots of phone calls to insurance companies and other agencies. Everyone now has extensive disclaimers they read to you, numerous voice prompts, and then hold times because 'their call volume is unusually high" then after waiting they ask you about ten questions of id...

Re: Brain Shut Down When Overwhelmed
That's good advice put partialization unfortunately is not always an option. If we are at work and have to complete a large workload withing a given period of time, well then we have have limited options with regard to partialization. Also, if you're at work and are receiving training on something, ...

Dyspraxia And Anxiety
So, I understand that anxiety is very characteristic of dyspraxics. I've gotten some useful advice about CBT and mindfulness to address anxiety. I'm just trying to understand more about this. Is the etiology of the anxiety purely neurological, or is it also because we've had so many bad experiences ...

Re: Doctor Who
I like the fact that this is a start with regard to awareness. It's just a show, so you can't expect too much with regard to detail, but it's a start
