Is migrating a better option?

I know this sounds like a stupid question and it is even more stupid since there is the virus pandemic but is moving to another country a better solution? Do they have better facilities there that can make life less tough for Dyspraxics?

He got a job in another county and I happily moved with him, living together for the first time just shy of our 1st
Do you mean county or country? If country then wow, he is much more capable than me since I can't live independently in either another county or country on my own.

Re: What exactly is Dyspraxia?

Not everyone has all the specific signs or 'symptoms' of Dyspraxia. I'm the total opposite on several of your points, yet I'm sure there are plenty of things you have no trouble with that I am abysmal at doing. If you have been formally diagnosed, I believe that's all you need to tell people when y...

What exactly is Dyspraxia?

I'm going to try harder for a job soon but before I tell people that I have Dyspraxia, I want to make sure I understand 100% what it is first. These are my traits. Readers and forum members, please tell me if I have all the traits or if I'm missing some traits. 1)Slow learner. 2)Poor math skills 3)P...

How to get home in a Covid environment?

If I do successfully get a job, that means I have to take different taxis/cabs everyday home since I CAN'T DRIVE of course. Is that safe? Who knows how many passengers they've carried before picking me up? My father may isn't free in the evening. Is there an alternative solution? I don't want to ris...

Not practical?

I've contacted a centre which specializes in Learning Disabilities. But the only help they can give is "teaching people skills to start their own business" like sewing/ handicraft and baking! I think it's not practical for 3 reasons 1)Nobody buys much handicraft nowadays. 2)I have to take ...

Re: Any of the UK citizens here ever went to a Jobcentre Plus?

People probably have a wide range of experiences and I strongly suspect that 90%+ of Jobcentre+ staff would say apply anything you feel qualified for. That's not really helpful advice from the Jobcentre who is supposed to help out the Dyspraxsics. Not meaning to offend anybody :) but I'm feeling ve...

Any of the UK citizens here ever went to a Jobcentre Plus?

At https://dyspraxiafoundation.org.uk/faqs/ they recommend you to go to a Jobcentre Plus if you're having problems with jobs. I'm not a citizen of the UK so I've never been to a Jobcentre Plus(I'm a Malaysian btw :) ) Did any of you go to a Jobcentre Plus and what jobs did they recommend are best fo...

I just did a Dyspraxia quiz.

I just did a quiz. I know some quizzes are not very reliable but I just want to know what all of you think about it. https://neuroknowhow.com/dyspraxia/adult-dyspraxia-questionnaire/ My result was; Your responses suggest that your chances of being assessed as currently having DCD/Dyspraxia are: &quo...

Re: I fear that my Dyspraxia will affect my future job

I read in another post in which you said that you don't drive and that a kitchen is like a disaster waiting to happen. That's also true about me. What kind of jobs do you recommend I go for?Are there any particular jobs I should avoid? I'm thinking of getting a job as a copywriter in an advertising ...

Should I consult a Dyspraxia expert or straight ahead go and get a job? What type of job should I get?Are there any types of jobs th...
