I'm glad that looking at things in a different way appears to be fairly common among dyspraxics. I'd hate it if I was the only one.

Has anybody done any studies to see if there is a coorelation between finding it difficult to fit in socially and proficiency at lateral thinking?

I prefer to disclose, but to try to remind the employer that it hasn't prevented me from, eg getting a degree. If you word it right, you can usually get a few points for showing determination.

It certainaly beats Big Brother. I find it amusing that many of the people who look down their noses at sci-fi fans will cheerfully watch a television show that is basically the modern equivalent of watching Roman gladiators hacking away at each other.
