Thanks, I’m going to see if I can get some help with the form because I can’t make heads nor tails of it.

PIP Review eek!

So I have received the dreaded brown envelope because it’s review time, I’ve had no change in my condition since my award and after being refused PIP and having to fight tooth and nail for it before I’m terrified of it happening again! I’m worried that I’ll have to go through the appeals process or ...

Re: Why am I so socially awkward

I’ve noticed I’m socially awkward as well but I’m aware of it nowadays whereas in the past I wasn’t. I normally wait to be approached because I feel awkward approaching people

Re: Help for adults

I got that a lot following a diagnosis of depression and anxiety, anything I said or did was included under that umbrella. I could have broken my leg and the doctor would be like ‘it’s because you have depression’

Re: Help for adults

That’s interesting to know, especially when I thought I was the only one that noticed it. It feels like although I have adapted relatively well I feel that I still need some help.

Help for adults

Has anybody who grew up with the diagnosis noticed that help when you’re an adult is almost non existent unless you’re in education, it’s almost like it’s expected to be magically cured the moment you turn 18 when that’s nowhere near the case.

Re: The Underground

It terrifies me to no end, I constantly look at the tfl website for routes to avoid them, I only venture to the O2 and the Excel centre because they’re the only places that I know of that it isn’t necessary to use an escalator when getting the train. My foot is still janked and I’d still take the st...

Re: The Underground

I have always been a bit funny with them which kind of escalated (get it?) as time went on to the point I can’t even look at a picture of one. It hasn’t helped reading a story in a local paper about a lady falling to her death down an escalator when I was about 9 or 10. I have almost fallen down one...

I’ve been learning to drive also (didn’t disclose my dyspraxia) I tend to make at least 1 mistake per lesson most recently using windscreen wipers instead of indicators ](*,)

I’m not massively sure but I’m giving it a darn good go! But I don’t think it’s impossible it would just take longer
