No! They have to find an alternative fizz-maker!

Re: Hearing everything all at once?

Uh... So I totally thought I was weird and different when I can't follow a conversation when everyone is talking at the same time. Or when I'm trying to say something and someone else starts talking, so I just shut up and try to start the same sentence until I can't even remember what it was. Or whe...

Re: Living on Own

I live on my own although my partner comes to stay with me a lot. In some ways I find it better because it's my mess that stresses me out instead of other people's mess. Also I can make things like the kitchen work for me instead of having to compromise and let other people have bits working the way...

Re: Can openers!

I'm a bit wary of pull tab cans as have managed to twist and break off the pull tab before now. Had that quite a few times. Then there's the fact it can be hard to pull the tab! I hate the ones with the ring pull thing. It wrecks my fingers trying to lift it even a tiny bit, and then trying to get ...

Re: Household management Tips and ideas Pt 2

I feel this is where I've gone wrong most of my life, to do something as correctly as possible I need to give it my full attention. I do find giving my full attention to one thing at a time helps. Most of the time I've had a "I can't do it!' and stormed off or just got bored and lazy. I regula...

Re: Filling the mug with when making a hot drink..

People always complain to me that I never fill the mug up full... Now I have never done this as I know when I transfer it to the person I will a) Spill it all over the carpet b) Spill it all over them. I have never really thought anything of it before until recently when I have been watching other ...

See, that's very sensible! But if I don't tighten the pop bottle, the pop goes flat!

Summer dyspraxic life hack!

https://lakelandcamel.scene7.com/is/image/LakelandCamel/71077_8?$800$ (Sorry for the size, I don't know how to change it!) I've totally found a summer dyspraxic hack... An ice cube tray with a lid on! I bought one in Debenhams today, I'm so excited to use it! I don't know about anyone else, but I r...

Re: Looking after a house!

I think one could literally spend every moment cleaning, scrubbing, washing clothes, etc. I recently had to take a couple of weeks to care for my mother and literally could not keep up with any of it. She does a much better job than I do and she's 90. Next time instead of dyspraxia, I'm going to re...

Re: Tidying up and messing everything up?

My 'tidying' and 'organisation' is pretty rubbish too. Like you, things end up on random shelves, in random drawers, wherever there's a space. And I also find that I've kept an unusual assortment of objects! Like a video cassette without a case... And a different case without the video! I kept an em...

Re: Household management Tips and ideas Pt 1

This is an awesome idea for getting organised within the week! The awkward part is staying on top of it after it's done... I find lists help. Not general stuff like "clean bathroom", but really specific like "put bleach in toilet. Clean seat. Wipe top of cistern. Wipe inside sink. Mop...

Re: Looking after a house!

When I do them, I usually get praised for how well it's done. I just put so much energy into it that I just want to sit down forever, the fact it takes away all my energy to do anything I enjoy and I never get any help to do them. I'm not entirely sure why I've always found it so hard to attract pe...

Re: Filling the mug with when making a hot drink..

Have you ever tried just putting the milk in first?[/quote]

I do with my coffee because I think it makes a better cup of coffee. But my Mum drinks a lot of tea, and if she's at mine, it gets made in the mug because I don't have a teapot... And she hates it if the milk goes in first!
