Re: Looking after a house!

I think one could literally spend every moment cleaning, scrubbing, washing clothes, etc. I recently had to take a couple of weeks to care for my mother and literally could not keep up with any of it. She does a much better job than I do and she's 90. Next time instead of dyspraxia, I'm going to req...

Re: Manual Labour and Dyspraxia

well, I don't know what to say other than I've always been the same. I'm so sorry you're going through this; it's not easy having everyone dislike you because you're not well coordinated. When I was your age, I took a job in a nursing home, not knowing anything about dyspraxia, much less that I had ...

Re: Keeping Current With Fresh Posts

That's so true. The internet does make it extremely difficult for us to discern the meaning of what is written. That leaves us so very vulnerable to projection. When I first read all of this commotion about a single word ( which was a very innocent incredulous response, not sarcastic) I was just li...

Re: Keeping Current With Fresh Posts

Wish I could think of more American words that could stimulate such controversy and back-and-forth witty responses.
No, seriously for now on I'm going to check with the British consulate before I respond to any posts, LOL.

Re: Keeping Current With Fresh Posts

I don't know that one can compare spoken dialogue from a TV show with written text. The latter has no facial expression, no tone or voice inflection, etc. Therefore it might be good idea to ask for clarification when in doubt. I do, however find it interesting that just one little word could elicit ...

Re: Keeping Current With Fresh Posts

Seriously?? That response comes across as a sarcastic attitude of disbelief to my previous post if I understand you correctly. I was honestly doing my best to respond to your original post. You are more than welcome to disagree with me or any other responses. But your treating of forum members who ...

Sensory Integration Dysregulation

For the past couple of years, my ability to tolerate extreme temperatures has gotten worse, and is often accompanied by nausea. Was wondering if anyone else is prone to nausea particularly in the heat?

Re: Advice for a newbie

It really all depends upon how dyspraxia impacts upon your life. Usually when people are in a place where they pursue a diagnosis they have been having difficulty in some area of there life. How does this affect you? How does it impact upon your daily tasks and goals in life?

Re: Driving For A Living

Sorry, my cab experiences have been in a big city, so quite often the drivers talk about the streets that are blocked off and the circuitous routes they are forced to take because of construction that is blocking the streets or because the police don't want drivers anywhere near the routes of VIP's ...
