Re: Video games
I do love a good RPG myself from time to time (Final Fantasy VI). I also adore Metriodvanias. Cyube for the PlayStation VR2 is coming this Saturday, and I'm looking forward to playing it. The Stardrew Valley 1.6 update is also coming on the 19th of this month. Next month, Stella Blade will be out fo...

Re: Does Anyone have Kids or want Kids
As I've said before on this forum, I rather not pass on my Dyspraxia to the next gen. While I know there is a chance it wouldn't get passed on. But I think everyone would agree here. That if we all had kids then we would want them to grow up without the struggles we had. I can see merit in both of ...

Re: Does Anyone have Kids or want Kids
Whilst learning disabilities do have a hereditary factor, Dyspraxia is definitely not a dominant gene, so the chances are likely 25% or under. Also, it has been argued before that ASD may have been useful for evolution due to discoveries being made by high functioning autistic people. I've always w...

Re: Does Anyone have Kids or want Kids
For me the question is, Is it a forgone conclusion that we would pass our difficulties on to our offspring? Can we as Dyspraxic/neuro diverse types not make a useful and valid contribution to society or do we sit back and let others dare to see us/dismiss us as oxygen thieves? I understand that we ...

Re: Does Anyone have Kids or want Kids
Hi Davie First of all welcome to our site and thank you for your directness on a very interesting and thought provoking point. I'm older (43 next week) but very much in the same boat and often feel time is running out. That said, I'm not a big fan of children anyway but know I would want to feel I ...

Re: Dyspraxia and stress - is this normal?
Hi, Nick regarding your worries about making silly mistakes. I don't worry about making mistakes, but as soon as I make them. I want the ground to swallow me up. Because making those silly mistakes make me look like a dafty. As for stress, I don't suffer from stress that much. I'm more of the parano...

Re: Dyspraxia-walk like a drunk?
I don't have a problem with walking 95% of the time. That other 5% I lose my balance every now and then. I tend to walk heavily from time to time.

Re: Connecting
I often avoid connecting with people at work, when I'm on my break. Because I dislike talking to people because of my slight speech problems. If people are wanting a conversation with me, I will give them one. Because I dislike being rude about 80% of the time. I have low self-esteem and if I mess u...
