Re: Connecting

I do find I'm not really into small talk, gossip or celeb-based tittle tattle. Bane of my life. I hate small talk. The other day someone from work was asking how my Christmas break was etc and what I got up to etc. What he really wanted to ask me is if I knew something about a particular system. (w...

Re: Tippy Toe Walking?

I looked it up on youtube just to see why firemonkey thought he would lose his balance. Found a video of a woman who I think was doing it on purpose, but this isn´t really toe walking. Whilst looking I did come across this video which might have some tips (I´m at work so couldn´t have sound on): htt...

Re: Touch screen phones

I sometimes have difficulty keeping it in my hands, but swiping and gestures are generally not a problem, which is a good job as I have the iPhone X and it´s all gestures and swipes now!

Re: Tippy Toe Walking?

I used to do it as a kid up until about the age of 12 when people started taking the **** out of me at school. After that, I tried to learn not to do it, but even today my gait/stance is not really 100%

If you´re writing a long post, compose it in Notepad or another text editor, then you can copy/paste into the forum and avoid any timeout problems.

Re: Another cup bites the dust...

yes! I found the mighty mug on amazon.de :D I shall order one immediately :D I tend to always keep drinks away from my electronics, even though both of my mobile phones are waterproof. One of the stipulations after dropping my iPhone 6s+ in the loo was that all new phones must be waterproof! I would...

Another cup bites the dust...

I find that when preparing cups for drinks I will move away but my hand stays, or a stray finger catches the handle and usually ends in disaster. Sometimes they just wobble on the surface and I get lucky. Anyone else here have this problem? Has anyone found a decent solution? I´m currently looking o...

Re: Asexuality and Dyspraxia

From what I´ve read online and speaking from my own experience, it seems us Aspies are often asexual, gender fluid and gay/lesbian. I am not interested in sex in any way shape or form, never have been.
It is also difficult for me to show affection. Usually holding hands and kissing is my limit.

Re: Balance Issues

From what I can tell, a doctor telling me not to drive is not binding. However, he can inform the Führerscheinstelle (DVLA equivalent), and they can revoke my license. This hasn´t happened, so I guess I´m in the clear. I don´t see balance issues being a reason to revoke my license tbh. Just because ...

Vestibular System

so - aha moment. As I mentioned in the transport forum after my hearing loss on Saturday that I went to the ENT who checked me out and it seems my vestibular system is off. He did the Fukuda stepping test and also checked my saccadic eye movement. I have an appointment to have a VNG test in February...

Balance Issues

Saturday I had sudden hearing loss in my left ear. I went to the ENT on Monday and he made me do the Fukuda stepping test, I failed that spectacularly. I´m not too surprised at this, I´ve had balance issues my whole life. I told him this. I told him that me and door frames aren´t on the best of term...

Re: Hair care

I leave my hair well alone. If I don´t do anything to it, then it won´t do anything to me :D I stopped washing it years ago and after about 6 weeks it just went - normal. I can´t style it, I can´t cut it, I brush it first thing so that the tangles are out and that´s all I (can) do! Now that it is ge...
