Re: Cerebrum issues

Could be that too, although that's as general as saying it is neurological, so I assumed the query was more granular. :)

Re: Hypersensitivity To Temperature

Interesting. I always thought myself to be some kind of mutant considering I can endure much harder cold than anyone around (I can be lightly weared with only a short and a shirt during small rain and feel better than my friends while they're wearing heavy stuff and coats), but I also feel the heat...

Re: My Blog

Welcome to the site. I'm into creative writing, which is why I'm nearly finished my first novel, after doing so many drafts, I'm a perfectionist. A couple of mistakes or if something doesn't look right, then it can mean the whole of the story is started from the beginning. I have an online Canadian...

England used to own Brittany, hence the name. :)

Re: Quick question?

I am also good at facts about general history and politics. I am currently in a quiz team with my friends, and for the past couple of weeks, I have been carrying the team by answering the most obscure questions, and my answers have been right and the other members of the team overruled me due to th...

Re: Quick question?

I have a terrible memory, especially for lyrics in songs. It sucks, because I love music but can never sing along properly.

You may have ADHD. It is commonly comorbid with Dyspraxia. It is worth speaking to a psychiatrist about that. :)

Re: Hypersensitivity To Temperature

I really dislike the heat. I hate the feeling of my clothes sticking uncomfortably to my skin. I normally sleep with a window open, and I hate having the heating on, in my house, when I start complaining if someone has turned the heating on to a level that I feel uncomfortable with. I have pretty l...

Re: Keyboard on smartphone

I mean, they're a nightmare generally, due to being so small, but it will be worse for Dyspraxic people. It's one of the reasons I got the Galaxy S8+, as it has a pretty big screen, so the keyboard is bigger. That might be an idea if you can afford it? :) You could also use text to speech?

Re: Keeping Current With Fresh Posts

There's a forum I go to where they have lots of post rating options like 'Agree', 'Disagree', 'Funny', 'Friendly', etc. but it is a rather popular forum so it doesn't detract from the quality/quantity of posts as much as I imagine it would here. That forum runs on vBulletin, not PHPbb though. Also, ...

Re: I had a breakthrough!

I've never heard of Lyrica being used for anything other than fibromyalgia, and those that have used all tell me it causes weight gain, and has other adverse side effects. Any truth to this? Lyrica is also useful for neuropathic pain (which is why I take it.) It's an SNRI, so possibly has minor ant...

Good for you! I don't really understand how any professional company could ever conduct themselves that way, especially a few months later.

Re: Discord voice chat channel for dyspraxics to practise conversational skills

Sounds interesting to me. I know a lot of people use Discord, although I haven't yet. I'm a bit old school in terms of Internet culture, so I remember Teamspeak, Ventrilo and stuff like that for microphone stuff. Still, Discord does seem preferred these days. You probably won't get replies here supe...

Re: People who call me "buddy"

I've never been great with over-familiarity either, especially when people tap me unexpectedly, but I've learnt to adapt. I don't actually think it is meant in a patronising way necessarily, but it's hard to determine without having witnessed it, of course.

Re: Hypersensitivity To Temperature

Sensory Integration Dysfunction is really common in Dyspraxics and people on the ASD spectrum. It's not necessarily the same for everyone, but yeah, hot things are more uncomfortable for me than others. The worst thing for me personally is wet hair and bar soap though. Eww, just thinking about it is...
