Re: mental health

George12 is right. Although at the moment I'm struggling with anxiety due to a lack of routine and exercise.

Re: Lack of friends

I think it has to do with low self-esteem. Although towards the end of high school I had more friends due to finding my "group"' and also college where people were accepting. It can take a while for us to open up to people, though.

Post-college depression?

So I had the best time of my life in college. I didn't study much and had C's and D's, but my third year I drank a lot with friends. Sure, I had rough patches with my mental health. But I had many friends on campus, my first boyfriend, and my first girlfriend. To be honest I never thought about what...

Re: Repetition in your head

The repetition in your head sounds like OCD, which I've had on and off since I was 6 and was admitted to an impatient clinic for at 21 or 22. Now I still repeat thoughts in my head but it's much more manageable, given the skills I was thought there. In fact, when I was 8 my mom first used the phrase...

Immaturity

Hi there, I'm not sure which category this falls into. I just noticed how immature I am compared to others of the same age. I went to college, but only went to explore my sexuality & if I might be bi( as I wasn't out yet in high school). I graduated 1 year and a half ago, and I can barely rememb...

Re: Do people just assume you're lazy?

Yeah. People just assume I don't want to keep my clothes clean, when I can't keep from spilling on them for reasons understandable for dyspraxics. It's quite hurtful to our self-esteem when people call us lazy:(

That must be pretty cool!

Re: Coexisting Conditions

Hi, I have mild Diplegic Cerebral mostly affecting my legs, I've also been told on at least two occasions that I have traits of some form of higher functioning autism although no official diagnosis. Apparently if you have a diagnosis of something like Dyspraxia its unlikely you'll get any official ...

Coexisting Conditions

So who on here has another condition that can be diagnosed? I'm curious because I saw somewhere that dyspraxia goes hand-in-hand with other learning disorders and disabilities. I just got diagnosed with ADHD-inattentive type and I'm realizing many of my problems such as a limited concentration , ang...

Re: Not coping at all

I hate seeing mispelt words, ugly drawings, not being able to ride a bike or drive a car. Being described as disabled by my uni just makes me sick. I don't know how to cope. You say you won't be able to write, but you missed one thing. Most university classes and the rest of the world might I add, ...

Finding a hobby(for dyspraxics!!!)

Hi, I need help finding a hobby. I just graduated from university and live with my mom and aunt. It is so boring and dull. All my life I've written. Unfortunately, that seems to be the only hobby I have. My aunt's friends' and my grandma keep on saying "why don't you sew?" Or "Why don...

Re: Does anyone else go through phases like this?

It sounds like you had a lot of stress packing. While knocking into things may be a symptom of dyspraxia, I know people who don't have dyspraxia who become overwhelmed at the thought of packing, especially before a big move.
