Changing jobs
I've moved house and I now live far enough from work that I need to change jobs and get a closer one. Problem is I'm settled and I'm finding little motivation to change, but I need to. Just the thought of applying and interviews and having to get used to a new place and new people and new routines. ...

Re: sex and dyspraxia
I suggest medical advise too. I also want to say though that I'm so sad to hear that and for me personally I wouldn't care if a man couldn't get a direction or perform sexually to me it's more important to actually be with the person and be in a relationship and be in love and have the companionship...

Any nurses/nursing students on here?
Can a dyspraxic be a nurse? I've considered it a few times but think my dyspraxia will hold me back. My memory is quite bad, poor attention to detail, hand eye co-ordination, maths etc. I worry university will be too much and then I wouldn't be competent enough to do the job anyway. I'm currently a ...

Cool I tend to find people with Dyspraxia are caring or creative, which is why I wanted to do this
Good luck, by the way!

What is your job?
I find this topic interesting because I find a lot of Dyspraxic people find office work suitable for them. However, I have always worked in care/childcare as I am a naturally caring person, but I am also a naturally creative person. I work as a Care Assistant in a Dementia care home, but I have deci...

Re: Working in Dementia Care
Hi! I've worked in a Dementia care home for 2 years now. I must admit, I find some things a struggle like attention to detail, heat, etc. But it is a rewarding career. Especially because my Dyspraxia makes me caring, compassionate and patient. I see some people at work who seem to be a lot less of t...

Re: Obsessions
Oh yes. I've been obsessed with Doctor Who for some years now, and the last few months I've become obsessed with writing recipes, etc.

Personally, I find most information you can find is aimed at children, parents and teachers.
It would be great if we had more books and things aimed at adults!

Hi, I'm new around here.
My name is Sarah and I was diagnosed when I was very young. I'm 24 now and I'm looking forward to talking to people with Dyspraxia as I don't know anyone else who has it. My memory is terrible. I have bad hand eye co-ordination and spatial awareness, I can't write with a pen for long, and I love wri...
