Amazon Alexa
Hi all I'm considering treating myself to a virtual assistant like an Alexa or Siri for my home and was just wondering if people here find it a useful tool to help organised ones life. I have recently developed a relationship with a NT female who has an Alexa, who uses it for a multitute of things (...

Re: Dyspraxia and diet
Thank you for replying too. As you and ram have suggested , i will definitely wean myself off the fizzy drinks. If you don't mind me asking, do you have a few meals that are your personal favourites? In particular, breakfast? :) Yeah, sure. So I'm a creature oh habit, so I have the same breakfast p...

Re: Dyspraxia and diet
I totally agree with Ram. I find it difficult to understand why soft drinks are so available for those very reasons. Diet-wise, I'm a pretty clean eater. I do a lot of food prep which is laborious at times, but very worth while. Although this is all immeasurable, I believe that it makes a difference...

Re: Tips for making everyday tasks easier?
Hey! So I may be able to help here, with the eye drops... I wear contact lenses and fro time to time when my eyes are dry I squirt a bit of lens cleaner in my eye just to moisten it a bit, this is how I do it... 1- lay a towel on the bed 2- lay on bed with head over towel, facing the ceiling 3- assu...

Re: Bad backs and feet in the work place.
Hi Callum Id like to generally echo what was said by the others here. I'm a promoter of health and fitness in general for anyone, neuro diverse or not; Nobody should have to live with back pain, no matter what your job is. My advice (I'm no expert or medical professional) would be to seek a form of ...

Re: Memory
Yeah, your not alone on this I wouldn't think. I have a bad short and working memory, but I can remember what month and year my parents purchased a sofa over 20 years ago, which amazed them somewhat. It's certainly frustrating though; mid sentence, mid explaination, having to look at the person who ...

Re: Exercise
Hi Roxy, hi Tim I'd echo what has been said. I'm a fit guy, spend 10 years as a rower and now go to crossfit which I've done for about 2 years. It's extremely frustrating that I get really out of breath just walking to the shops, when other (clearly less about) people can manage it. I find that to t...

Re: Being clumsy
Yep, loads!! Apart from the classic misjudge of the door frame, pushing/shoulder barging doors which have a 'pull' sign on it.... I tend to look down at my feet when I walk along a pavement. A friend mestioned this to me whilst we were walking to get a coffee, I explained that it's because the pavem...

Re: Sleepless night
A heavy duvet is a must for me, I can't sleep without it. It feels comforting to have something pressing down on me. This extends to things like tight fitting clothing, nothing crazy just the slim fitting stuff.

Re: Do people just assume you're lazy?
Yep, I get this. and like Tom says, the assumption of laziness is utter laziness on their part from lack of understanding.
Try and take the time to explain somehow, it may help with the lack of understanding.

Re: Coexisting Conditions
Hey poodlelover!! I am dyspraxia and also dyslexia which was diagnosed at the same time, when I was 17. I don't know if I have anything else wrong with me, but wouldn't be surprised if i am autistic or have some sort of so sorry processing disorder too. I find that looking at a colour can give me th...

Re: What is your job?
What a cool question! I'm a sales executive for an insulation company. I work in an office, its chaos at best, and unbearable at worst. My desk is usually a tip, but I try and keep a pile of urgent things and a pile of not quite so urgent things. And also try to control what comes onto my desk. Its ...
