Re: Annual health check

I first saw a pdoc in late 1973 while at Felsted . I'm quite open about having a SMI . My official dxes are Asperger's and schizoaffective . Very probable but not officially dxed are dyspraxia, learning difficulty and NVLD .

I also have aphantasia .

Re: Annual health check

That's a good question . It's because I have a severe mental illness. I think I first had one in 2006-7 then after a few years I stopped being contacted for a few years and was then contacted again . I've had 2 since being here in Wiltshire .

Annual health check

Annual check up went well yesterday I think. BP 112/76 & pulse 72 . I was weighed, but not told what it was . I felt a little silly as my granddaughter had to steady me as I stood on the scales. I seem to recall struggling to balance when weighed last year as well .

Re: What are your cognitive strengths and weakness ?

Depending on the category, that's actually not too unusual for Dyspraxic people. We are nothing if not wildly inconsistent at times, especially with motor skills or spatial awareness. So depending on the person they could range from amazing to awful, even on the same day. However, if their tests ar...

Re: What are your cognitive strengths and weakness ?

After being on their site for a while, doing their brain training games , I wouldn't recommend it . That's not because the games are bad , but because the scoring leaves a lot to be desired . There can be large moves up or down within a short period of time that makes little sense .

Surely you're not advertising though...

It was purely to show where the test results were coming from . That remark you made could be seen as being inflammatory .

Avoidant ?

Are some of you, like me, quite avoidant? By that I mean there are some things you won't do because you know you're not good at them . If so I think that can camouflage your difficulties , unless someone interacts with you quite a lot .

Re: Help! Mental Health, Emotional and mental wellbeing

Anxiety is something that occurs with my Asperger's and schizoaffective disorder . Very probably being dyspraxic ,although not officially diagnosed , adds to that anxiety.
