Re: Environment/Sound Sensitivity
Bit of a weird one (and this might be more appropriate for the work section), but I find that I'm quite sensitive to artificial light nowadays. I work mostly late shifts in a grocery shop that is brightly lit and has a lot of LEDs / bright backlit signs and all that stuff around, so when I'm on my b...

Re: Relationships and dates with guys who don't have dyspraxia
My advice is to keep really personal stuff like this under wraps at least until you can gauge if he is a decent person. And by this I mean from face to face interaction, it's very easy to act like the best guy in the world over text chat.

Feeling Pathetic
This sounds quite ridiculous but I recently found out that I'm down on my work rotor for a wholee lot of overtime on what would have been my days off..just wondering if dyspraxics are more likely to be heavily brought down by minor bad news such as this or if it's just due to my own personal inadequ...

Re: Tying laces
Luckily when I was younger the fashion was to wear skater trainers, do the laces up once, tuck them in, and just slip on your shoes after that. So excluding special occasions/job interviews/etc, I haven't actually had to tie my shoelaces for a very long time.

Re: Does anyone else make alot of lists?
Perhaps my mind is always wandering off to my lists though!! I can empathise with that, at times a single word someone says can make my mind fly off somewhere else, usually to something silly and trivial like music or a film.. This can be a bit of a problem, especially when said person is trying to...

Re: Keeping your room tidy and clutter free.
I have what I like to call 'a sustained amount of mess' in my room, for example I have a pile of books and assorted crap on chairs next to a small pile of clothes - however I actually like having a certain amount of clutter around me for some reason..

Re: Finding it hard to come to terms with
I also found it very hard to come to terms with, and still do to be honest. I can totally relate to being bitter and angry and feeling like a black sheep, and even the part about being slightly intolerant towards others. It's the strange situation of not wanting to be labelled as different, and yet ...

Re: Does anyone else make alot of lists?
Not quite the same thing, but I have a habit of making a lot of playlists of music, which involves going through the tracks to meticulously arrange each release in chronological order, adding all the correct artwork in high resolution, adding fields for catalogue numbers of the releases, specific ge...

Re: Losing Your Temper When Doing Stuff & Accidentally Breaking Things
Indeed. I personally find myself in this sort of perpetual cycle of frustration-damage-dismay which can be quite upsetting, I suppose the best thing to do is to approach all things with a calm state of mind...though that can often be hard to maintain

Re: Do you run funny?
They were very suprised when they realised I could run for a long time and better than more others girls. Because I like run. Maybe, I run funny but I finished 70/800 during a school's cross \:D/ Wonder if there's a correlation between dyspraxia and long distance running, I've also been told I'm ok...

Losing Your Temper When Doing Stuff & Accidentally Breaking Things
Anyone else relate to this? I hate breaking stuff / irreversible reactions (mistakes which you can't change, undo or amend in any way) as well which makes it even more upsetting

Re: Arguement with friend
'The argument ended in me saying that I was how I was and if she couldn't accept that then we couldn't be friends' - you're absolutely in the right here in my opinion. If she truly is your friend then she'll apologise and make up with you, otherwise she really isn't worth your time.

Sometimes I forget stuff like whether I've used shampoo in the shower, I actually have to search for evidence like 'does my hair feel cleaner', feels like someone's wiped your brain
