Hi there I am soon to finish a master in psychology at uni there and I has a DSA assessment in september. I got more time for exams, a digital recorder and a new laptop with stuff there...Audionotaker..etc, and mind genius too. I hope that helps but feel free to give me a shout if you want Thanks ...

It's scary when you email your disability advisor at uni about your dyspraxia and get a reply about dyslexia! :Eek:

Could be worth trying taking a magnesium citrate supplement about an hour before bed. You might need more than the recommended dose though to have an effect as many people are low in magnesium (if you take too much your body gets rid of it - as you'll discover in the morning :Eek: )

I think it's quite common. Pre-school dyspraxic kids are usually the ones that won't join in with song time because they can't sing, have no rhythm and sure as hell can't remember all the actions for the wheels on the bus!

It's sad but understandable that you feel that way. Having dyspraxia isn't easy. Dyspraxia is really difficult for non-dyspraxic people to understand though. In many ways it is a hidden disability and people perceive you as different but without an obvious reason, hence their lack of tolerance ...

With a DSA Needs Assessment and an appointment with Learning Support/Disability Services looming, I wondered what things you'd found most helpful (or not!) with studying at university? Definitely need extra exam time, some form of mentoring/study skills support, time management/organisation, help ...

I've heard good things about Annette too, but sadly her registration had lapsed so she wasn't able to do our assessment. Good to know she's back assessing again now.
