What led me to investigate dyspraxia? I look after children and Dyspraxia ws the least boring workshop in a group of many! listening to the people in it was a revelation!!!!!

age? too old for forum??
Interested to talk to anyone like myself a forty something and only just linking self to dyspraxia ( it didn't exist as far as the establishment were concerned when I was at school I'm sure!) I would love to be able to label mysef and discover that I'm not so odd!

I am 45 and still don't fit , I am perfectly happy and have found I have good qaulities and if people don't accept the way I am maybe its there problem,I steer away from large groups and situations where I know I will be uncomfortable and with age ( I hate to say it ) I have become more able to ...

Does anyone else find that in a conversation ,the words don't mean anything when people say them and it can take a good few minutes for my brain to unscramble the strange noise coming from peoples mouths , by which time I have pretended I havn't heard them properly. , they start to repeat themselves ...

I struggle making the change from pedestrian to vehicle driver and vise versa , how can red mean stop for a driver and go for a pedestrian ?or is this just me???? :( Female drivers are more considerate and are viewed as less of a risk by insurance companys so being female is a bonus , harder work ...
