Anyone Else in Sheffield??

Hi
Just wondered if there's anyone else in Sheffield with dyspraxia?
Have recently been diagnosed myself and wondered if anyone in Sheffield would like to meet up
as other than my two children who also have it don't know anyone else with dyspraxia

I totally understand as i only recently got diagnosed myself (i'm 43) due to my son being diagnosed 1st and me recognizing the symptoms in myself from the information given to me and my wife about dyspraxia in relation to him. Hi Just been diagnosed recently myself, had a conversation recently with one of my best friends about it and my depression and memory problems causing me trouble at work. To which he replied stop using it as an excuse and that i was always trying to get the easy way out with things. This really hurt ...

i know how you feel as I'm over thinking things as I'm typing this! Come to think of it this happens to me also (as you stated mostly around people i know), do you think it's the added stress that makes it worse? as you are around people you know, as when i'm around total strangers it never happens.

Come to think of it that's the same for me! as every photo i have taken looks like i'm gurning when i attempt to smile & i cannot show my teeth when i do it as it makes it look worse. So for years without realizing i don't even try now & just look straight ahead.
