APPLICATION!!
I havent got much work experience but am willing to learn, maybe just two people in an office, who need to type a few letters, emails, make a spreadsheet in excel and write up documents, create a presentation and give it to someone else to read out live. I am more comfortable working on my own as I ...

Manager Review Work
Hi, So I started my job last November at a fashion retail shop and was recently told at work that a review was coming up of the shop by internal company managers in the area. I was asked some questions by a colleague about health and safety and COSSH etc but found myself getting all jittery and nerv...

Re: Worried About My Future
Recently I started a new job I was so happy it was my first paid job and I thought they were really nice bunch, a few weeks in and there have been mistakes which they say are so simple that I should be good at it and not to make these mistakes, everything seems like 10 times harder than it does for ...

Re: holding jobs
It seems so wierd you posting this seeing as Im going right through a similar problem at the moment. I only joined a few weeks ago but it seems they have already started having problems with the way I do things because it is a physical job and it does cause problems when I struggle to keep up with o...

Going Out and Making Friends
So today has been given some advice from my brother who felt that I need to go out and get a life as he puts it. Ironically seeing that he suffered from panic attacks and needing counselling in going for job interviews and being jammed on his bloody computer and gaming all ****ing day seems to think...

Re: No Skills, No Benefits
God yeah, it's darn frustrating how academic achievement is still seen as so, so important. So if you're not bright like that you just feel thick for years after (at least I feel like that, that my poor grades were a huuuge failure for me). Job Cnetre's just put me on a bloody 'work programme'. Arg...

Re: No Skills, No Benefits
If this is true then it is truly disgusting. I can't believe that we still have to have 'academic' achievement to suceed, that is complete (pardon my french) crap. I suffer with dyslexia and dyspraxia and I often found my best marks came from the 'doing' classes, ie ICT, DT etc, not from academic st...

I agree, I think finding that link or common ground then being able to develop that into a friendship and then to romance and love is much better than trying to jump straight in.

Re: Does Dyspraxia and Dyslexia put partners off

But them some people are attracted to the complete opposites... FAandrews, I read your post and that is really quite sad, im so...

Re: Does Dyspraxia and Dyslexia put partners off
Seeker, Good for you!!:). I just thought what peoples ideas of it were really. For me finding that partner who loves and cares for you no matter is a special thing and you know when you find the one, I honestly believe that, it doesnt bother me at all just liked to hear it from others as well. Inter...

Does Dyspraxia and Dyslexia put partners off
Hey, I recently had the hopes of meeting my first girlfriend but I found myself in a position of getting really awkward around her, I suffer with dyspraxia/dyslexia and struggle with my appearance, day2day living, always seem to get a bit clumsy infront of people and always go red and loose my train...

Re: Social Anxiety
Moot, I am ok with answering phone calls now but I have to practice before I say anything if I ring up anyone. If it is a employer I go really nervy and end up going wrong, it is the same with interviews at Job centre or places I have interviews, If I know the person I tend to get use to it, but it ...
