Re: Panic Attacks
Ive been having them on and off since i was a kid. Getting in the shower used to set mine off when water went over my face. They stopped for quite a while, 15 years more or less, but they came back after my grandad died. I was having upto 5 a day for a month or two. Apparently, Dyspraxics are prone...

Re: Is anyone else ambidextrous?
I used to be ambidextrous when I was a kid. But I broke my right arm and then could only use my left hand for writing. So I'm left handed now, but my hand-writing is terrible lol. I use my right hand for other things still though.

Mixed Martial Arts (UFC)
Anyone here like watching the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship)? I'm thinking of taking up MMA myself, but I'm not sure where to start. I love watching it though, it's my favourite sport.

Re: Panic Attacks
I get them regularly, they are terrible. This year has been the worse for them, sometimes I get a panic attack every day, and the hyperventilating comes on. The amount of times I've been to the hospital or have had an ambulance sent out to me is unreal. I've had ECG's, blood tests etc. and no signs ...

Re: DLA
I currently get low rate DLA, I used to get medium rate, all through my childhood and teens but obviously they think it's developmental, so I had to fight hard just to get the low rate this time. This is again all changing, so I don't think I'll get any next year when they reassess me unfortunately.

Re: dyspraxia and sex Awkward lol
Coming from a somewhat experienced guy in the sex department, I agree that we dyspraxics need the green light for the okay. I lost my virginity at 16, and many of my relationships are from girls taking an interest in me first. I'm pretty shy in the outside world, I would never chat up a woman at a n...

Re: TD First Date
I've never been in this kind of situation but maybe it's your confidence? I'm 25 and have had many girlfriends, on and off partners etc. even in my teenage years, I've never pulled away, I had so many girls in my teenage years. I'm not sure if I can help ya with this one, but my best advice is to ta...

Re: Hey
Thanks everyone, and to Josh, thanks for the great reply. I have gotten a lot better at driving, I probably consider myself as an A+ driver now lol, I've never had a car crash since driving. I must have been driving nearly 8 years now. How old are you? Congrats on passing your test as well mate. It ...

Re: Hey
Thanks for the welcome guys.
A few other things I forgot to say in the original post - I also have low muscle tone, and I get tired easily. I'm also a terrible cook, I'm not sure if anyone here are good cooks? I seem to undercook or burn everything, never get a meal spot on when I'm cooking lol.

Re: Motorcycles
I had a mo-ped when I was 16, but kept coming off it. I think it was definitely down to my dyspraxia. One time I came off twice in 10 minutes. I had some nasty knocks from driving that. I passed my manual car driving test when I was 17 first time, so now just stick with my car. I sold the mo-ped whe...

Re: Can dyspraxic people drive manual cars
Yes, I passed first time when I was 17 in March 2006. And I was only driving a manual car. It took me longer to pick up then other people though, I was a terrible driver and I shouldn't have passed lol. But I was lucky, and I've never been in an accident either. I consider myself a great driver now....

Hey
Hey everyone, my names Trystan, I live in England, and I'm 25. I was diagnosed with dyspraxia when I was in year 1. I've been able to deal with it okay though, but I'll tell you all some of the things that affects me through dyspraxia. Growing up, I was pretty clumsy, always bumping into people, dro...
