Re: You know you're dyspraxic when

You can't read your own writing and are rubbish at team sports.

Re: Foggy Days

Glad, I am not the only one who gets this. I gave up coffee for about two years I realised later on that I was self medicating to help with foggy days. Now I have coffee every few days (if I drink it every day I get depressed and it starts losing its effect).

Re: I don't get on with people my own age

I used to feel more comfortable around older people, however having mixed with people I realised it was because I have interests that people who were older than me had and that older people were more tolerant of my social quirks. While growing up I encountered people who didn't fit the conventional ...

Dealing with variability in performance

Hi I've been diagnosed with a few neurodevelopmental disorders (also high autistic trait and mild dyslexia) dyspraxia among them also diagnosed with anxiety (I've had panic attacks) and depression (also somatic symptoms). Re: Not all Doom and Gloom?

I've given up on most dating websites however I heard that okcupid was more open minded so I've gone there specifically asking for a neurodiverse partner so far been contacted by a guy who is dyslexic. Being very open about my problems might be the way to go, I've specified that I want someone who i...

Finding a date

Does anyone know of groups where someone who is neurodiverse can find a date. I have tried regualar internet dating but generally one of two things happens 1) men try to rush me into a relationship or 2)they disappear. Very occasionally they like me but I feel no chemistry. I feel that the reason th...

Re: Don`t know what to do work wise

It happened in 2009/2010 too late to do anything about it now. At the time I blamed myself entirely. I now only partly blame myself because I realise that they should have accepted my adjustments. Out of interest how many other people on this forum have found that employers have not made adjustments...

Re: Don`t know what to do work wise

Thanks. I will check out pluss. As for research I think I might give up nearly 7 years and two disastrous placements (one department nearly closed down and the other had 50% redundancies) have occurred since graduation from my masters. I am also looking at being self employed it might be best as the...

Re: Don`t know what to do work wise

Surely someone knows some agency that can look at my skills profile (I had an assessment by an educational psychologist) and what my likes are and suggest jobs. I don't care what it costs it will be worth it. Am asking on here because I`ve searched round and cannot find anything but I know that an o...

Don`t know what to do work wise

Before I asked the question thought I`d give a bit of background I have a BSc(Hons) and a masters in a life sciences area. For my BSc(Hons) I got a 2.1 and for my masters dissertation I got a distinction. However my dyspraxia means that my lab skills aren`t good. I also have additional learning diff...
