Re: This made me feel worthless today.
It really stinks that they left you hanging on for so long. If they weren't intending to give you any more work, they should have told you ages ago. I would be very frustrated as well- people like that just have no sense of common courtesy! Exactly I was waiting for ages after that They were moving...

I used to do casual at a nursery and the day after my 19th birthday they stopped giving me shifts I gave them my new phone number ect and if they couldn't reach me on my mobile they'd ring my home But over 20+ months of them not ringing me I got my P45 through the post (oh goodie) So yeah I feel kin...

She was so rude!
 I went to the job centre the other week as I was told to see an advisor or be sanctioned basically The trains were messed up due to signalling works (why they had to pick a Monday I don't know) And I couldn't get a lift from my dad because he was picking up his car from Enfield while I had to...

really dislike busses when they are busy
I was getting a bus to the other side of Basildon last week to visit my boyfriend It was full of school kids so I had to stand as well as dodging crisps being thrown around the bus I had to try and keep upright (very easy...not) after one paricularly sharp turn I stacked it I managed to hold on with...

She frequently tried to get my benefits sanctioned because I didn't apply for a job she found me on their computers, it was a skilled job which required using my hands, hello?? Re: Really struggeling with family
my sister used to do that whenever she was inconsolable mum used to put her on a beanbag in the same room as her and let her get on with it because she used to scream for no reason, however this was parenting in the 90's. is he teething by any chance? gel teething rings are really good for soothing ...

Re: is it worth seeing my gp?
I have known that I had dyspraxia, aged 23, I received a diagnosis aged 33. When I started postgraduate study, my dyspraxia got worse. Applying for jobs, after my education , my dyspraxia deteriorated. I would do exercise, stretch you arms. Your GP, may be able to help but it unlikely. I was just c...

I'm sorry about what you and your son have gone through
it's unacceptable that they have put your son under so much stress
I really don't think that ATOS should be in charge of the Work capability assessments i think trained doctors should

Re: Jobcentre discrimination
There are several petitions on the go at the moment re. the UK government's treatment of the sick and disabled. This one is to be presented to Amnesty UK at their annual conference. It would be good if people on here would sign it to help it get up to the minimum 3000 signatures they're aiming for:...

Re: I'm Dusgusted by this!
Yeah it stinks, sounds like a case of covert discrimination but unless you can get proof that its because of the disability there's not much you can do. Was he being offered shifts etc before they found out? It boggles my mind that he was doing the same job before they found out and nothings really...

I'm Dusgusted by this!
My boyfriend's little brother works in a fast-food chain they recently found out he was autistic (quite mild) they've had 'no shifts' for him and whenever he's tried talking to the manager he gets fobbed off. He loves his job and the independance that comes with it. the other workers haven't been ve...

Re: My coping strategies - what are yours?
Asking for help when I need it I tried to do work alone at school due to all the resentment I was getting from everyone. then the head of department at my college was like 'you can't have too much help' i took that as i'm not allowed any and then i became a stressed mess at the end of the year. Doin...
