Re: Ignorance/assumptions/WE ARE INDIVIDUALS

Lol! Just a hunch! ;) What department are you on? I do part time on Checkouts, and café as/when they need me, which is nice cos it breaks up the days sometimes and makes me feel wanted/needed :) It's only a small store so I can JUST about cope under the pressure in there! Lol! I'm having weekly coun...

Re: Ignorance/assumptions/WE ARE INDIVIDUALS

Hi Scififreak1992, firstly, a huge welcome to the forum! :bumps: and thank you for your reply... Do you work in retail too per chance?? We've had 9 or 10 managers since our store opened 8yrs ago this year! That in itself can be very unsettling I find :| Your mother 'doesn't get it' either huh? It's ...

What are the 3 things you struggle with most...

... At work, at home and in relationships? At work it is my maths that lets me down, not basic mental arithmetic such as addition/subtraction but when it requires an extra step, as outlined in my report, I find it hard to comprehend. Example, if somebody wants to pay for their shopping, using a scra...

Re: Sudden/overwheming urge to sleep

Damn it, my phone does not like letting me type long replies. . Lol! So, yeah bullet points remind me what I want to say in reply to a post else I will forget/go off on a tangent! :D Lol! People find it quite hard to keep track of what I am saying, and I'm told I talk at speed too, and jumping from ...

I find it easier communicating with children too, is it because we can relate more to them d'ya think?? Lol @ one Lil girl growling at you, what was that all about?!? Lol! I think it's the focus/concentration necessary in a classroom environment I found hard. I was shocked AND low when I got m...

Re: Sudden/overwheming urge to sleep

Hadn't finished typing that and my phone went haywire so thought I'd better submit before losing it and having to type it all out again... ](*,) lol! So yeah, just kind of feel part of the furniture where I am, it's all I know now and am definitely a creature of habit and feel very much in my comfor...

Re: Sudden/overwheming urge to sleep

Yeah, they do pay me back and are grateful, it's just I'm always the first person people come to when they want something cos I struggle with the word 'no' :| lol! They also try and sell me things, they see me as a way to make a quick buck I think. I am learning to politely turn them down though, sl...

Re: Sudden/overwheming urge to sleep

Is your Sister any good at paying you back when you need it or do you find yourself having to go without? My trouble is I'm a soft touch, people know I struggle with these things and I think some of my colleagues do try to take advantage :( Do you still live at home then? Me too :) Well, if I say I ...

Re: Struggling with budgeting

I thought I vaguely remembered posting/starting a new topic on this so have copied and pasted this from another conversation elsewhere in the forum, as I feel it is of relevance here too... Some points I have previously made in my first post, but, lately? It is borrowing/lending I have found that co...

Re: Sudden/overwheming urge to sleep

Ah yes, being financially unstable. I've got budgeting/lending/borrowing issues and I can't organise my wages each month :S I don't believe in credit cards, and only spend what I earn... But, I do worry how I'll cope in the future. When I first first get paid, I think I'm loaded and go shopping, ind...

Re: Sudden/overwheming urge to sleep

I'll admit, the book hasn't really taught me much because learning to tie shoe laces or ride a bike isn't really something that can be taught by word, it takes practice doesn't it, and patience, something which I don't have a lot of :S I tend to get overwhelmed by the smallest/simplified of tasks an...

My driving when I was having lessons was described as erratic! :S Lol! :D You may ...

Re: Sudden/overwheming urge to sleep

Hi Fordinand :) I know what you mean about zoning out... People often tell me to 'cheer up, it might never happen' and am told I often look pained and/or distant :S I don't mean to though, I just find it hard to concentrate! :( Work have been fantastic though, even on a 4hr shift they give me a 15mi...
