Dyspraxia Foundation Fund Raising
Hi all that are reading, yes that includes you! My girlfriend (Yeah...didn't update you people on that...she also has Dyspraxia so it was certainly a great match!) Anyway next year (2016) she is running the 10K London Run and is wanting sponsors. She has the target of £400 so anything you can give, ...

DYSPRAXIA YOUTH SUPPORT GROUP (13-25 Year Olds)
Hi all, hope you are all doing well! While my activity here is rather...lacking...thought I make an effort to promote a new support group. It probably won't apply to the majority of you, seeing how it's aimed at teens and young adults, however if yourself personally or if you know anyone within the ...

Re: Adult Fiction
I still read books aimed at teenagers because I believe they are written better like: The Power of Five and Alex Rider series (both by Anthony Horowitz) However here are some books that I got into easily that are aimed at adults: Incompetence by Rob Grant Carrie by Stephen King War of the Worlds (H....

Re: Im depressed at 15
I went through deep depressive states over the course of my dwelling of this planet, I find the best way was to write down my problems (or typing them into a computer) and then once finished read it over a few times and then delete it. Do you know why you are depressed? Because if you know that's ha...

Re: DYSPRAXIA VERSUS ASD/ASPERGERS/AUTISM
Because Dyspraxia has a very wide scope in it's affects on people's lives it crosses the boundary into other disabilities such as Autism, Aspergers etc. You have to bear in mind that the labels of Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Autism etc are not as cut and dry as labels for say price of jumpers-two jumpers e...

Re: Why and how do our brains work differently
With Dyspraxia and Dyslexia people are 'forced' into working in a way that suits them and not with the mainstream....that's way we suffer at school. One of the ways I've noticed is that people with Dyspraxia (or/and Dyslexia) are more creative minded!

Last week I signed up with PLUSS, a company who specialise helping those with Disabilities get into work and support them throughout. They have already given me a free Health & safety course and I should be doing a manual handling course soon (I hope I don't drop anything :D  ). Also they...

Sorry it's been a while, so many things happening I just haven't had the time to sit down and answer. I found that the best people to understand are those who live through it!

Re: Hi There
As far as layout is concerned Dyspraxic Teens it is very similar to this site, but despite it's name it does have adults on it. The discussions sill have the likes of work, money, uni etc. But with the addition of school problems from teens. Even though I wasn't a teen when I joined, they still allo...

Hi There
Hi there, My name is Robert, I'm 20 and I was diagnosed with Dyspraxia when I was 9. I never had the correct support throughout school and never knew anyone with Dyspraxia-which only added to the difficulty and frustration. I have joined Dyspraxia Teens a few months back and decided to join here as ...
