Re: Made to feel like a complete idiot again :-(

I wish I could go private but just wouldn't be able to afford it at the moment, hopefully everything goes o.k and he does get me with the neurologist. If it doesn't go well though I'll be making another appointment with a different doctor and I'll make sure I'm better prepared this time, they're not ...

Re: Got an interview

Cheers guy, didn't seem to go too badly, had a couple of moments where I couldn't find the words I was looking for but I think I covered it quite well. I Didn't realise beforehand but it was only a kinda screening interview, if all goes well I've still got to go through another interview :S

Re: How to flirt?

Just put on a deep sexy voice and say "How yooouuu doin'?" works every time lol. Seriously though I'm probably not the best person to answer this but what the hell I'll try :P I tend to just be as friendly as I can with someone then just maybe start flirting in a jokey kinda way and see how that ...

Re: finally beginning to understand...

Hi Nicola welcome the the forum. It certainly sounds to me like dyspraxia is what has been causing your problems. I had a bad experience with my GP yesterday who just didn't seem to have a clue what he was talking about, If your going to go to your GP it may be a good idea to print out the NHS ...

Made to feel like a complete idiot again :-(

Well after my sons OT told me I was probably dyspraxic too I finally got round to seeing my GP about a diagnosis today, and what a bloody disaster that turned out to be. So he asks what the problem is and I said I think I have dyspraxia then he just laughed and says but you seemed fine walking in ...

Re: Is there any way back?

It really is quite saddening to read about the amount of Dyspraxic adults who were failed by the education system :( I really can't add anything to what was said by Estella36 though, I think we all just need to move on from the past and look to the future and work on the things that we can change. I ...

Re: The Theory of Relativity

Hi Skyrocket welcome to the forum. ha ha love the title, I felt exactly the same when I found out about Dyspraxia through my son being diagnosed. The only advice I can offer really is just to go to the doctors anyway, it may not really help out in a practical way (as you mentioned most dyspraxic ...

Re: Hi There

Hi rodge welcome to the forum.

From what I've heard Dyspraxic teens does seem like a good place to talk but at 31 I think I'm a little to old to join up now lol.

Re: to introduce myself

Hi Ruth

It certainly does sounds like you have Dyspraxia. I only found out about it myself a couple of years ago but it was such a relief to know that their were reasons behind my problems.

Re: Hi!!

Hi missmalibu. I know exactly what you mean, once I get past "hey how are you" I just can't seem to think what I should talk about with new people. I'm not sure if it's the Dyspraxia or just me in general but I also find myself not talking about things because I just can't tell if people are really ...

Hi Estella36.

I know you mean about the relief to find out there is actually a problem, For many years I just presumed I was stupid.

Re: Hi new to this

Hi booky63. I'm glad to hear your son is at uni and doing well with it, It seems that a lot of un-diagnosed dyspraxics (myself included, I didn't even know about dyspraxia until I was about 29) just give up presuming they are just stupid. As for helping you could maybe suggest he joins here or ...

Re: Hello and Thanks

Hello and welcome, I'm very new here too and have already found the place to be very helpful. Like your husband I'm also very shy and it helps to talk anonymously, there's things I just don't like talking about with people I know.

Re: Hobbies

I once combined F1 & Photography into a rather elaborate hobby in that I attended many F1 tests as an accredited photographer Now that would be my dream job (I'd even pay them to let me do it  ). Did you hear about the testing accident yesterday? very sad indecent, sounds like Maria de Villota ...
