Re: Anybody got Kids

Has anybody on this site ever had a girlfriend or even gone on to get married and have kids. I am 25 and have never kissed a girl, hugged one or held ones hand. My stepbrother and stepsister have people they love and I am just loney If I ignore a very brief ‘relationship’ during my teens when a gir...

Re: Doctor Who

Just watched it now on iplayer. It’s the first time I’ve Watched Doctor Who in a while as I stopped watching after they killed off Clara Oswald. I don’t know why but I simply got bored with Capradi’s doctor. I quite enjoyed the new one, she may be first female Doctor, but she was instantly recognisa...

Re: Photography

I used to do motorsport photography and nearly made it into a career until I ran out money & time to invest into it. For me, getting into photography was a side affect of blagging a media pass to cover F1 testing and hence get closer to the action than joe public. To be brutally honest I haven’t dev...

Re: Why nothing positive online about dyspraxia?

Maybe we could be looking at it from a different perspective though.

Instead of thinking 'Why is there nothing positive about dyspraxia?'

Why not 'Wow, look at those dypraxics doing positive things'.

There are some if you know where to look. ;)

Re: Just assessed and doubt the result!

I do hope you come to term with that diagnosis because from what you have typed it does fit. To know your limitations is actually very useful though. But that doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't do things. But know how far you can pursue an activity can help you manage your stress levels. If you enj...

Re: Brain cuts out?

To be honest, I'd be surprised if there's many of us on this forum who don't experience from time to time.

I personally am especially prone to a good brain freeze when tired and overloaded.

Re: Accepting being Dyspraxic

I think that I accepted my dyspraxia so long ago that I can't really recall how I came to terms with it. But I guess it fitted within the natural course of me growing up and developing my maturity. There's been times of course when I've really struggled but ultimately I have good personal insight an...

Re: Lost in Dyspraxia

Multitasking is a challenge. Sometimes because we know.. We can be better at it. I work in an NHS call centre and believe it or not I'm using processing multiple phone calls at once as well as managing paperwork and other interruptions. It's as about as undyspraxic a task as you could want yet as lo...

Re: You know you're dyspraxic when

You know you're dyspraxic when you can't say "dyslexic" and "dyspraxic" in the same sentence without inventing a few new words such as dysplexic." Ah yes.... but you can get away with that because quite honestly and frankly the majority of people haven't the scoobiest doo about learning difficulty ...

Re: Coin Collecting

I seem to have accidentally become a collector.

When we go somewhere, holiday, sightseeing, day out etc we like to get souvenir coins and or the pressed coins. I've also got some old pre decimalization coins and some even older (although quite probably reproduction) Roman coins.

Re: What things can make dyspraxia symtpoms worse?

In simple lay mans terms... I notice that my dyspraxic tendencies or at least my personal awareness of them increase when I'm tired, worn out or under increased pressure. It's entirely natural and logical that stress or physical illness (if only short term) can have a noticeable impact on your capac...

Re: Not all Doom and Gloom?

Focusing on getting out there and being social is definitely a positive thing to do. Even if only to make new friends and develop some dormant social skills. It's what I did... although ironically in the end it was still online dating which finally succeeded for me. Although not in the way I expecte...

Re: How should I feel?

Don't stress yourself about finding reasons why you love someone. Be glad that you do. Love is not logical it's an emotional attachment. If your Girlfriend loves you then she will know that you love her.

Re: Terrified of neighbour who is making me paranoid

Maybe it is coincidental.. and your life patterns largely match.

Have you ever spoken to him before?

If it's just that he's a bit of nosy neighbor maybe try turning the table and wave at him when you spot him staring that might suss him out.
