Re: Failing at Dreams

Yeah, I'm dyspraxic. I do think it affected how I did at uni because the final year especially was suddenly expecting me to do loads of things I hadn't really done much of before. Not enough years at uni if you actually want to learn a lot. :/ Plus I didn't join the right year it seems as the course...

Re: Forgetting stuff

^ Oh yeah, sometimes in the bath I become unsure as to whether I've actually just washed my hair or not. :P I decide to look for something, start walking down the stairs towards a room, by now have forgotten what it was and even end up in the wrong room, before finally remembering it was in fact som...

Re: Failing at Dreams

Hello, CrankyNawhal. Ahh, animation... what a pain it is, but also wonderful career (at least in theory :p). I very almost went down that route, studying Animation at uni, then got somewhat disheartened in the end and kind of just... stopped. Not to say that would happen to you, it's all so circumst...

Glad to hear more research is being done for dyspraxia. I'll take a look at the first two links soon. :)

Re: No social life/Loner

Thanks for response, Tom! The thought came to me while I was really struggling to get to sleep so you always get a bit more emotional about things. In 'proper' daytime thought, I decided to leave a very short FB message, just saying hope things are going well, with just one word that sounds a bit jo...

Re: No social life/Loner

I get this, too. How many friends do I need to go through and then them suddenly not giving a crap?? Why must it always be me trying to make an effort to see anyone? etc etc. Facebook just pronounces these things with stuff being thrown up in my face and causing me jealousy and all that. Now I don't...

Re: Screwing up the best thing you had

My bf broke up with me recently and it ultimately sounds like it's all my fault for being not good enough a gf, not being loving enough or forward enough, etc. And I suppose my dyspraxic tendencies, the way my mind works, had something to do with this decision. Baah. Kind of makes me think, if it ai...

Re: New and wondering if I have dyspraxia, something else?

Blimey, that was a post and a half! Sounds like you may well have something like Aspergers or dyspraxia, but as Tom said, it's not something we can really properly confirm for you!

Anyway, welcome to the forum, Matt! :)
