Re: The Dentist
Ooh, I don't envy you at all! :( All my wisdom teeth were impacted, so similar thing really, but I am soooo glad I was able to have it done under GA. I really hope it all goes well for you - let me know when it is & I'll pray for you if that's OK! The letter I got says end of may is my first ap...

Re: Do others have these problems with dyspraxia?
Another oddity has come to me this evening - any one else experienced this: I cannot wear a digital watch as I can't remember the numbers for long enough to work out what the time is! I prefer reading digital time, but I like wearing analogue watches, cause they look prettier and more feminine, and...

Re: Do others have these problems with dyspraxia?
The thing with letters in the middle of the preceeding word is definately because of my brain racing ahead of what I can write, I am still pretty slow at writing although not bad at all at typing - I rarely write if there's a way of typing something! (I think the piano helped me there, and learning...

Re: The Dentist
Urgh you're so lucky you got it under general! I wish I could go under general but I have a heart condition so I have to spend the whole thing awake- thats up to 40 minutes with my mouth open being unable to move or swallow, and the main exctration isn't even a straight forward one as the tooth hasn...

Re: Moderator Wanted
I'm kind of busy over the holidays but once the school term starts in a week I should be free to help moderate. I'm new to this forum but not to forums in general, give me the basic rules to follow and enforce and I should be able to help I think. PM me if you think I can help in any way...

Re: The Dentist
I just had a consultation last week about my wisdom teeth, thought I'd post it on here (seeing as its titled 'dentist' I guess its appropriate! =P~ ) Bad news- I have to have 3 teeth taken out. THREE! And there's nothing wrong with them, they just shouldn't be there! Urgh! It has to be under local a...

Re: Taking some things literally
Your brother knows me?? Is he one this forum too? Yeah I feel like socially awkward penguin a lot of the time- the caption on my avatar says 'Ok class, everyone grab a partner'.......... OH GOD NO! Which pretty much sums up school for me, though I'm not quite so bad now, and you wouldn't think I was...

Re: Career
Hmm, there was a 16 point personality test thing someone put up round here that seemed really accurate and good in telling who you are and what you'd enjoy to do as a career- it got me pretty much spot on, I recommend you try it. You may find out what sort of job you'd like that way, but don't worry...

Re: Under pressure
 Thats a lot on your plate.... so I guess today you're moving out. Not sure where you're moving to or if you have the net but all I can advise is to try get as much done over the weekend as you can for now. And if possible today give one of your lecturers a call and see if you can get extension...
Re: revision
Well this may well be a bit late a reply for you but I do hope you applied for extra time, if you're dyspraxic and struggle to finish it can really help. Once you have a proper diagnosis you can get 25% extra time during exams to give you time to think, and get everything written in time. As for the...
Re: Reading
I love reading, have done all my life, but I can't get into just any book. I usually stick with fiction novels but it can't be just anything, I've got a freind who lends me books sometimes which is great cause she's read them before and knows what I like, Terry Pratchett is a sure bet for me usually...

Hehe, its funny you should mention about police and getting the wrong idea shadowgirl1... once when I was at uni I electrocuted a police officer and got away with it! Its not as bad as it sounds, they were on the lookout for a dangerous character and were going round our flats, there were 3 o...

Re: Destressing techniques
Aaaah school.... so glad thats all behind me. When I got stressed about coursework or an exam and couldn't sleep, I'd go do the revision/work whatever time it was- I mean if its stressing me, and I can't sleep anyway, why not, right? Either it'd bore me to sleep, or I'd achieve something and thus my...
