Lack of mental imagery

Hello all, I have dyspraxia and also have an almost complete lack of "mental pictures". I cannot see anything clearly in "my mind's eye", even my husband or late mother's face. I do not have the ability to "see" anything when I am reading a book, which I gather other people can do. Please can you ...

Re: Survey on Dyspraxia and Higher Education

Hi I can't remember where I originally saw the research mentioned, but, funnily enough, I think the researcher posted on this site before they began:

graduates with Neuro-Diversity questionarre Postby catwoman » Fri Jun 23, 2006 7:38 pm Dear Members, I am looking for graduates to ...

Re: hello, I'm Rachel

Hi Rachel, and welcome (I'm new, too!)

I've seen a book that might be of interest to you. It's:

"Music solutions. No. 1, Dyspraxia and learning to play a musical instrument" by Jan Poustie

Hope this helps, Elizabeth

Hi everyone

Hello, I'm Elizabeth from Scotland, aged 36 (and a friend of "Cazzzzy", also new to this site). I've posted a few replies and thought I'd better get around to introducing myself properly. It has only recently dawned on me that I probably have Dyspraxia, after reading Victoria Biggs' book, "Caged in ...

Re: Hi, I'm James

Hi James,

If you look under "Announcements and Information" on the Board index of this forum, then the "a link to the most useful topics" bit, there is a really good definition or two there about Dyspraxia.

Hope this helps, Elizabeth :)

Re: Survey on Dyspraxia and Higher Education

I'm recently self-diagnosed as Dyspraxic. I managed to graduate in '97 at the top of my year with a First in English, but essay writing in particular was a very great struggle. I'm not in what you'd call "graduate" employment and I think that's probably due to the low self-esteem (and lack of career ...

Re: Newbie

Hi Vikki, I'm also new to this site, and only recently realised, at 36, that I'm Dyspraxic. Well done for coming to the end of your nursing course (I always wanted to do nursing but thought I was too clumsy) :D First off, I think you're dyspraxia and dyslexia will actually give you advantages in ...
