Re: Getting bullied at work.

I was bullied by the headteacher at a achool I worked at. I'll give you the list because you might recognise some of the behaviour. Excessive workload. (over 70 hours a week). Constant negative comments. (Sometimes in front of other colleagues and children). Changing goalposts. Colleagues 'eye-rolli...

Re: My odd quirks and work - How do I cope??

Re: Is it worth it?

Well, I went to see my gp today. She said she'd never made a referral before but she would refer it to a clinical psychologist and see what they said. She said there were no guarentees that they would make the assessment, however. She did have a slight look of bewilderment but I'm still glad that sa...

Re: Is it worth it?

Thank you for your replies... Tim I do like your avatar! Sums it up really. I've struggled through the second term of my NQT induction and I'm supply teaching just now. (Teachers have to complete a year of induction to qualify). I'm just generally quite clumsy (I tripped over a box of felt tip pens ...

Re: Video games

I've found PC games easier too, got quite involved in 'Oblivion' and am looking forward to the new one. The wii is the worst I've found because you have to do something different with each hand...

Re: Epic fails.

I think we can add bowling to the list after last night's attempt. My friends kindly agreed to put the barriers up! #-o

Is it worth it?

I'm sorry if I'm covering old ground here but I've been wondering lately if it's worth pursuing a diagnosis of dyspraxia? I am able to work but I do feel like if I had a diagnosis I'd be able to say to people 'I'm like this because'. I'm so tired of people getting frustrated with me and being frustr...

Video games

I just wondered if anyone on here enjoys video games but finds them a bit of a nightmare? (Spatial awareness and hand-eye co-ordiantion being fairly essential). I tried to play Portal2 with my husband yesterday. It's a fantastic game but there was not a chance of my figuring it out. After 20 minutes...

Re: Epic fails.

Thanks for the replies, I feel better now!

Isn't it worse when people don't find it funny? Nothing worse than a long silence... 8-[

Hello from Jude!

Hello, my name is Jude. Very dangerous around liquids but otherwise quite nice I think. :)

Epic fails.

Anyone like to share? (I'm new by the way).

Today I managed to pour a glass of wine over a babies head. Baby was on her Dad's lap. I bent down to hug them both. Handbag swung down, awkwardly tried to make a grab for it. Failure. Wet baby. Lots of laughter. SO embarrassed.
