Re: Do teenagers change when they're an adult?
Regarding adult acne by one poster on this thread, I would avoid the sun if I was you. I'm a 40 year old man and have very oily skin and the best way to sort this is with using mosituriser and cleansers which have no oil in them. Clinique does a great range. They're expensive but worth it if you can...

Re: Do teenagers change when they're an adult?
I'm now 40 and manage my dyspraxia much better. You develop coping strategies and avoid things that can suck your confidence away. My social life is far better now than when I was a teenager. There is some hope but unfortunately dyspraxia does not go away, you just get better with managing it!

Re: Dyspraxia and sexuality
.......yes, people taking over because of my dyspraxia. Well my old boss (he has now left my company) did that and at one point wanted to check nearly every single thing I did. He soon realised , however, if he just let me get on with it I could produce more than a satisfactory standard of work. I c...

Re: Dyspraxia and sexuality
Thank you Tim and "Alley Cat" for your last two postings. Your comments have been very helpful and interesting. You're right about dyspraxia making you appear more child like because that is something that people have noticed in me sometimes. They can also take over on practical tasks, suc...

Re: Dyspraxia and sexuality
What was I trying to say in my original post is because I am on the borderline between gay and straight I believe that I chose the "easy" option in being gay as dyspraxia has an impact on my social skills and confidence. These two skills are much more vital in securing a girl friend. Whils...

Dyspraxia and sexuality
I am 40 year old man who has mild dyspraxia. It affects me socially in many ways but I am still able to hold down a fairly well paid administrative job in an accountancy company - mainly without any significant problems. However, what I'm interested is the choice of sexuality and dyspraxia. Most off...

Nintendo DSI brain train
Does anyone out there use the Nintendo DSI brain train ames console to help with their dyspraxia. If you do, does it help with your working memory and co-ordination?
I'm thinking of investing in this and need some advice and help here.
Thank you
Nick

Re: Dyspraxia and poor treatment at work
.....A very good reply to my original posting..thank you.... One thing to add though, is that although the Channel Islands are British terrority they do not technically form part of the UK. We cannot vote in UK elections and we do not pay UK taxes (we have our own parliament and tax system)...infact...

Re: Dyspraxics/ ND People In Graduate Level Jobs
On graduating with a BA Business Studies degree (2:1) I got a place on the Guernsey Government graduate trainee scheme. This was a four year scheme and on completing it I got a job within the Guernsey Government at Guernsey Telecoms as a marketing executive.

Re: Dyspraxia and poor treatment at work
I do understand the dangers of giving more ammunition to bullies by handing out cards explaining why I might be slightly different or slower at learning something new. I suppose it all depends on how educated and on the emotional IQ of a bully on whether to take the risk and dish out a bespoke card ...
