Re: Do you become less dyspraxic the older you get?

I think you get better at coping strategies and caring less about what others think.
Equally significant change for which we’re unprepared can cause us.signigicant pain and land us back at square one again.

Re: Why are people so mean

Sadly people are often very cynical and can and will make on the spot judgements. Whilst your intentions are to hang out with your friends from college (who just happen to be younger and female). Sadly far too many will generally view a 25yr old guy hanging out with younger females as due to his hav...

Re: If a formal diagnosis cannot be made...

Sorry for late reply.I agree it is best to look for help and therapy for the related difficulties rather than to try to seek specific assistance for dyspraxia. It's hard not to constantly here cruel taunts and they tend to weigh on the mind and erode our self esteem. It's a shame some people are so ...

Re: DORE PROGRAMME - thinking again

Andrew I think she had a lot of hope invested in it for her son so was quite understandably a bit miffed when we all pretty much unanimously informed her that DORE was considered by most, to be at best, a waste of money. I did find this: http://deevybee.blogspot.com/2017/07/the-step-physical-literac...

Tim
I definitely do this myself too. I think in this modern age there is a lot of choice and demands on our time and we would maybe do well to try to take things at an easier pace sometimes.

Re: Can Dyspraxia affect one part of the body more than the rest?

Your GP probably needs to refer you to a musculoskeletal specialist as whilst hand movements arecontrolled by your brain your problems with your hand are not exactly something a neurologist would or could specifically address. It’s annoying that the administrative foul ups have occurred but hopefull...

Hi

Have you spoken to your Doctor about this? It's not something you should just accept and I doubt it is directly Dyspraxia related.

Re: Muscle issue

Hi and welcome

Please consult your GP or other medical professional, for specific advice and/or reassurance.

Exercise is beneficial for anyone as long as you sensible about it. A good Gym should offer an induction with a health questionnaire and advice on using the equipment safely.

Re: Has anyone else stuggled with debt?

I feel I'm lucky in the sense I was brought up to be debt averse. I think in this day and age it is so easy to see and order stuff instantly and sometimes we use this as a mechanism to try and cheer ourselves up or we'll see something we like and think If I don't buy it here and now it will be gone ...

Re: DOES ANY SLEEP A LOT LIKE 14 HOURS

Hi George I agree. I think it's all easy to get into this sort of trap and it was about 0250 last night before I went to bed this morning. I tend to find I'm rarely asleep before 0100 and usually try to get up dressed and out before 8 as I'm fortunate to have work. I do find if there is stuff in my ...
