Re: Keeping Current With Fresh Posts

Glad you found it
I've been on the site since 2011 (iirc) but I suspect a lot of people have not realised they can send/receivePrivate Messages (PMs) too

I hope the site helps you in trying to find some useful answers.

Re: Dyspraxic speech

I'm afraid it is all a bit of a complicated maze since Dyspraxia is a condition that seems to present differently in each person affected. Certainly difficulties with pitch and intonation are a recognised problem associated with Dyspraxia and some people receive a specific diagnosis of Verbal Dyspra...

Re: Nightmare Neighbour

Can she prove the indoor cat is the source of the flea infestation? I imagine your boyfriend uses preventative measures (shame her parents' did not.) What steps has she taken to look after her dogs's welfare ie flea and worm treatment? Has she ever been reported to police or RSPCA? Privacy laws are ...

Re: Struggling with my dyspraxia...

Hi and welcome Katy I've moved this from the Lounge which is more an area of the forum for very non-specific /non-dyspraxia related stuff. It is the anxiety but the lack of feeling in control that dyspraxia causes feeds the anxiety. Take a leaf out of the politicians book and answer a question by de...

Re: Asking for reasonable adjustments at job interviews

Jess Thank You it's a very valid point about people not sharing advance interview questions in that they wouldn't as it risks helping the competition. Is there a perception of an equal treatment minefield? As an interviewer do you know in advance exactly what questions you will ask a candidate? I've...

Re: That damned cafetiere

No or poor instructions? So how many pieces are there?

In theory it shd be a jug with a plunger that you insert and acts as a glorified coffee strainer to separate grounds from liquid. I believe you have to do it quite carefully so I stick to instant as tbh I cd barely tell the difference.

Re: Dyspraxia and bowel/toilet problems

Moved to Day to Day living Constipation and stool state is also going to be heavily influenced by diet. Equally anxiety can and will also have an influence on how/when. Some people like to take their time and read the paper after deploying the VI Poo and waiting for nature to take it's course. I jus...

Re: Will Britain be able to make a sucess of Brexit?

Me too Bloody Cameron and his lot were so confident Remain would win, they didn't think to put margin conditions on the vote. Problem is everyone is so divided about it all. No one can agree on what the truth is or what we should do. The European Union hardly seem likely to let us have our cake and ...

Re: Asking for reasonable adjustments at job interviews

I've had and been unsucceful at two competancy-based interviews for internal vacancies at a higher level so the pressure is probably less for myself. I did declare and provided a brief statemenr for their awareness but didn't /couldn't think to ask for anything specific. Scope have some links to adv...

Re: Ring pulls

In the handle which there tapers down there is a slot which you can use to fit over around the ring and lever it up. Pulling lid off part needs a video really to explain how It is still a two handed operation to hold down tin whilst you remove its lid to access stuff inside without spilling or cutti...

I have the 5 in 1 opener

Another tip is to put the tin on a dampened cloth on your work surface so it does not slide around.

Before I have resorted to the tin opener or items from my tool box
