Re: I'm not flirting, I'm just bubbly

Most humble apologies. I meant Long enough to get meet his or her parents, propose and get married in order to consumate the marriage in a manner that is acceptable.

This process can be accelerated with wine cider or alcohol for anyone not pure of mind and spirit! :evilb:

Re: new stressful situations

It's natural to feel stressed by certain things and easy to look back and beat yourself up for instances where you feel as though you handled things badly, panicked, shouted or broke stuff and stormed off which can make you feel very angry and ashamed. Instead try to think about what you did well an...

Re: Help for adults

Yeah

I think even if you're able to adapt, it still has a strong tendency to return especially during stressfull and difficult phases, sometimes with a vengance.

There is precious little if any assistance for adults unless you ho for mon specific help like counselling if you can find it.

Re: Hello

Ha ha :evilb:

Fact it's moving probably doesn't help. I always hesitate a little when stepping on to a downwards one.

Re: The Underground

Sounds a bit silly and somewhat cruel to say don't have a panic then veto your suggestions of stations which you believe will enable you to avoid the escalators.
Did you have a past nightmare experience with one or have read or been told about a horrific incident?

Re: Anybody got Kids

Some would say lowering standards is cynical advice but I guess it’s born of self preservation to an extent in that people can and do change let you down or disappoint. On the other side of the coin you have to be careful of putting someone on a pedestal as they may feel uncomfortable and worry they...

You’re welcome. Thanks for the Interesting story and I guess it shows we can potentially all find a place for ourselves though the journey may be long and difficult with many pitfalls along the way. Maintaining faith that you will come through is always the hard part.

Re: Employee of the Month.

Is there an opportunity to get a standing about job and can I get one? Actually I find I need to be doing something all the time at work so it would drive me to di...

Unfortunately there is so much in both the online and real worlds We might be flavour of the minute hour or day but then people are drawn away by th...

Re: Intense Intolerance

A lot of people don't really know what to say or how to say it so may try to fill silence with inane smaĺl talk. You could indulge them with a full run down or just say I had this what did you have? Now **** or get off the pot. I find I have a tendency to put things off if I am worried or vexed by t...

Re: Are There Any Other Americans On this Site?

Heated debate is good 8-) If at least some of those taxes we pay go to helping to provide a safety net for those who are less fortunate is that not a good thing? I think the Us and Them causes unfair friction between the haves and have nots and but for the grace of god we might find ourselves needin...

Re: Anyone need mobility aids?

Sorry for late reply We’re all affected differently and may also be affected by other non related or indirectly related conditions. I think this question might be better answered by an OT and/or your GP or possibly a Podiatrist
