Re: Hi , I am Anna. It is my first time here.

I am finally coming to terms with my dyspraxia. I have always come against a brick wall when trying to go for promotions. A couple of weeks ago I emailed our union and told them. I had been refused the chance to do an NVQ in laboratory clinical support. It now looks as if with the unions help I wil...

Re: hello :)

Hi Chris. I hadn't realised I was dyspraxic until a few years ago. When I was a child I broke five salt shakers in one week. By the Friday we were down to the picnic set . My mother bless her didn't say a word. My eldest daughter hasit- also we think my eldest grandaughter does too. hey anna :) i w...

Re: Eating

for me it depends...

if it is something that is already mixed together like a soup or pie etc i wont mind but if its already separate such as if i had waffles, peas and mash (not mixed together) then i will not mix it like my dad does... he takes a bit from everything on his fork at the same time

Re: Dream/ Ideal job for a Dyspraxic

I am going into computer networking and will hopefully be able to get a job as a network designer or network consultant so that I can play a major part in designing computer networks :P I think this is a good job for dyspraxia because if you can meet the deadlines and be a bit organized you get a jo...

Re: Hypermobility Syndrome

I am very flexible in the sense that no one my own age at least (i'm very small and not very strong for my age) can put me in any kind of hold even someone who works in a psychiatric home and is trained to do that kind of thing (to restrain people) could only do 1 type of lock me and would of be unl...

Re: Does anyone else here have uncontrolled twitching?

I get small twitches in the form of not being able to keep my body parts such as hands or feet completely still like other people can the best way to visually explain is probably to say that when I hold my hand out flat in front of me it seems like its shaking

Re: My coping strategies - what are yours?

I make a routine where everything is always in the same place this is an example: my bus pass goes in my wallet which is attached to my keys I always keep this in my trousers apart from when im using it and then it goes straight back in my trousers again if I put any of those things in a different p...
