Re: I hate public transport
I can't drive, and my village has only got one bus an hour going out of it so I feel kind of trapped sometimes. It's a bus and a train to college which I do 3 days a week, and I HATE GETTING THE SCHOOL BUS WITH THE FREAKING KIDS. <.< sorry it had to be said. They make so much noise and throw things ...

My education to date.
Ok, so I was an above average student always. Since I was 5 I was in the top 25% of my class. I did my GCSE's ok considering I went to school maybe 2 days a week. I got 2 A's 2 B's 6 C's and a D with no learning support. I went into year 12 really excited, I was picking out uni's and dragging my mum...

Re: [survey] Link between Autism, Learning Disorders and Aut
I don't have autism, but I am dyslexic, have processing problems with new information and borderline personality disorder. (not medicated at the moment, refuse to take the pills) I was always above average intelligence until I turned 17 (I have 11 GCSE's, 10 were A-C one D), I was misdiagnosed with ...

Re: Freezing
My hands and feet get cold so bad in winter. My ex used to say to me if I put my feet on his in bed that 'my feet were colder than the house' I have to wear big bed socks in winter when I go out and gloves and hats and scarfs are a big necessity for me.

Re: Hello
Alot of people seem to have been diagnosed later in life, I was always told it was something you were born with. My grandma has it, and my mother has it too. I think you should learn to drive again, because if my mother can drive. ANYONE can drive. Or so my family says to me lol! Thanks for the welc...

Hello
My name is Fran. I am 20 and from England. I got diagnosed when I was 5, and never really thought much of it until I was about 17. Then I realised how much it had affected my childhood, especially socially. I like computers and gaming. I want to start learning how to drive soon, but I am worried abo...

Yeah it happens to me sometimes, it happens less now I am older but it can still happen. I also get a lot of foot/ankle pain if I walk for too long.

Re: Things that you CAN do despite being dyspraxic
I can type kind of fast on a laptop. I can cook, fish pie and roast chicken are my best. I once cooked for 6 people, that was hard. I had to write out all the instructions and tick the list. I get along well with my young cousins, they really like me even though most people my age (20) think I am w...

Re: shaking
I don't know if this is the dyspraxia or not, but sometmes I feel like I have to twitch or shudder. Just once or twice and that doesn't happen often. I also shake when holding tea cups, or carrying a plate or something.

Re: diagnosed at 21
I got diagnosed at five, so that's 15 years i've had it in total. I find using my mobile to be most helpful actually, keep your phone on loud ALWAYS, if this affects work/studying then tell your boss/lecturer that you need it for your dyspraxia and they should let you have it on. My organisation is...

Re: Mark down who is the enemy forever?
I got bullied at school, even at nursery school because people would think I was 'weird'. I guess it was because I liked to play the same games everyday at playtime, or that i'd rather talk to the teachers than the kids lol. The bullying got worse when i was 11-16, people would be really cruel. Loo...
