My sights excellent, and my hearing is ok if I'm in a quiet room. My problem is, if the room is crowded with other people, I can only tell what someone is saying to me providing I can see their lips. If someone tries whispering in my ear I haven't a clue what they're saying, and it can turn into an ...

I still have my harps, but I haven't played them in 2 years. I had an accident with a stanley knife while I was trying to trim the carpet and I cut through the nerves in my thumb. I still dont know how I did it as I was cutting away from my left hand, and I'd put a new blade on the knife too in ...

Good luck with it! I really admire your stamina and the way you have remained so positive. Hopefully I'll be able to remain as positive as you (although I'm still finding excuses not to go to the job centre) - still I can't carry on for ever making excuses, especially as my husband has changed jobs ...

Bridges. I think it's becuase I'm dyspraxic - the more I can see off a bridge, the scarier it is, and I think it's becuase i can imaging myself just tripping up and going flying over the edge. Ohh me too! I sobbed my heart out when we had to go over the Dartford bridge (the Therwell Viaduct is bad ...

I talk too fast too, but I'm trying to get everything in before I forget what I was going to say, or drift to another subject. When I get excited about something my voice goes up in volume and pitch, but surely that's enthusiasm and shouldn't be wrong. The other thing I hear is I apparently talk too ...

Loved it! Went last Thursday with the elder daughter. I thought it was much better than the last one, and the special effects were glorious. Only downside was nothing to do with the film, it was more the cinema - I would have preferred it if the room wasn't full of screaming babies and young ...

kitchen aids, like kettles that don't spill hot water everywhere or failing that a mat to soak it all up And a teaspoon which isn't magically attracted to the coffee jar rim, I always spill more on the unit top than I get in my cup as the spoon catches when I try to take it out of the jar. Shoes ...

I tend to get them more on a bright sunny morning. Driving my daughter to school on a sunny day leaves me with a really nasty headache for the rest of the day.

I bought some sunglasses to try and stop the headaches, but I can never find them when I need them :S

Hi

I just wanted to say a quick hello. I'm Steph, (as you can see by my user name) I'm 38 and I have 2 children who were both diagnosed as dyspraxic 2 weeks ago. The eldest is 12, the younger one 5, I feel guilty that the alarm bells didn't go off earlier with my elder daughter, but to be honest both ...
