Stupid amount of energy...

Ok so for some weird reason in the past 3 months or so I have had a rediculous amount of energy/drive to get stuff done at work, for no reason I can fathom (case in point yesterday when I was the only member of staff able to deal with giving out medication at 9pm). Just wondered if anyone else was s...

Re: Speech

I just extend explanations unneccessarily. My 'problem' tends to be saying the wrong thing to the wrong person/at the wrong time/in the wrong context.

Re: Religion

I'm an atheist, but was brought up an anglican. My reason for not believing in a god is simple: I struggle to believe in people most of the time, let alone a deity that has everything predetermined

Re: Holiday Destinations

Most recent trip was to Venice, which was my 'holiday of a lifetime' (thus far) purely because the arcitecture/history/culture was amazing. Really appealed to me, but probably wouldn't to people who are a similar age to me (22). Also been to Amsterdam a couple of times, which was cool for both the s...

Re: Lack of friends

I only have about 10 people I class as close friends, who have been there for me through thick and thin and even though we don't see each other as often as i'd like, we just get on like a house on fire when we meet up again. I do have quite a few 'friends' but most of them are related to work so I d...

Re: Any single dyspraxic peeps!!!

So to bring things back on track, i've returned to singledom and if anyone is in the South East/London and wanting to meet up for friendship/a possible relationship let me know. Ideally Tunbridge Wells or the surrounding area is best, but I am willing to travel.

Re: My coping strategies - what are yours?

Using stuff I already have with me I can just about manage to remember my phone, keys and wallet by chanting "phone, keys, wallet" to myself while leaving the house I have a tendancy of repeating 'Keys, Wallet, Phone' thing which generally i'll check all of the previous night (apart from ...

Re: We can achieve Anything as Dyspraxics !!

Since i've known more about my condition I have been driven to achieve everything I possibly can, that people say that I can't. I mean people were suggesting i'd never achieve exam results, gain independance, hold down a job, etc. and I say look at me now. Granted its not been a conventional ride, b...

Re: Sugar!

sort of not related, but sort of related, i'm writing down the unusual/funny stuff that happens to me and I can totally relate. Basically i'm planning on producing an autobiography called 'danglies to the World' because the things i've done the world has disproved a lot of people who had pigeon hole...

Re: Romantic relationships

Aparently I was very romantic, but due to my (current) ex dealing with some OCD issues we are on a break whilst she decides if she wants to go back with me. I hope she decides to go back with me and there was (again aparently) quite a lot of sexual tension between us at a flat party we both happened...

Re: Dream/ Ideal job for a Dyspraxic

Social Carer working with mild/moderate learning disabilities is pretty alright to do (it took me a while to get a routine together, but now I basically know what to expect to do when I get into work). At the moment i'm considering the route I want to take my career (basically I can go with generic,...

Re: Dyspraxia And Physical Fitness

I'm in a position where I keep fit without planning to as I have to walk 2 and a half miles to and from work at least twice a week as I don't own a car (just to give some background I only work 1 in 3 days, but they are 14 and a half hour days). I made the conscious decision that as opposed to relyi...
