Re: Travels of a Dyspraxic: The Next Generation

I have always had a good sense of direction....or so i thought! I have got lost a few times on bike rides that i enjoy doing. Road signs can be misleading, especially if you are expecting a sign to say one thing and it says another! I find the best thing to do is study google maps or even better is ...

Re: I hate public transport

I rely on public transport in Ryedale, but i do find the increase in prices annoying. I am unemployed but on job seekers allowance, so i don't get any discounts on the bus. At the moment it is £7.80 a day return to travel a round trip of 40 miles. I think this is a bit of a rip off, as over the last...

Re: Drunkenness

I think the price of drinks in pubs are a rip off it costs like over £3 per pint in most places unless you go to traditional pubs that are out of the way of busy town/city centres! The crowds who drink i feel i have nothing in common with, i don't know what anyone else thinks, but i just find them p...

Re: Motivation Tips

If you have good interests that is motivation in itself. My main interest is cycling, while the weather allows it! I can think of somewhere to go to and look forward to it for some days and then go off there for the day. It's ace. You could try reading too, get your imagination going or learn someth...

Re: Hi

I am glad u fought back...u do right standing up for yourself! Once people see u won't take no crap they will respect you. A situation happened with my brother (who doesn't have dyspraxia) when he was at school some kid pestering him but when my brother fought back they were best of friends after th...

Re: Enabled? At Work?

Just an update about my work placement. It seems to be going a bit better now that the store manager has had a word with the deputy manager to tell him that I have dyspraxia and therefore not to rush me! Ironically it was the store manager who had been putting pressure on the deputy manager to rush ...

Re: Facebook

I think it is quite shallow. I loved it at first because i was working at a theme park and most of the park seems to be on it.But once it finished i found myself getting bored of people telling me about their wonderful social lives especially as i can't afford to live like that. I think it is pretty...

Re: Hollyoaks

It is my favourite soap. I have been watching it on and off since it started in 1995. I think it is more fun to watch than coronation street or Eastenders they can be so miserable at times.

Re: TV Series

I am enjoying watching The Prisoner. It has made a comeback since it was first made in the 60s. I think the idea behind it is incredible. It is ace to watch.

Re: short fuses

I feel like I have a short fuse when it comes to dealing with the public. I hate customer care, well i don't really feel confident having to help the public I just feel like I am having putting this act on. I have had bad experiences with the public when i used to work at a theme park and used to me...

Anyway to get to the point......sorry to hear that your GP seems to be so ignorant of dyspraxia. I was only diagonis...

Re: Enabled? At Work?

I am on a work placement at Netto thanks to being unemployed for over a year. I didn't ask to be put here as I put the Library as my first choice as that seems a pleasant place to be, but the company that runs New Deal in the area I live in told me that they had find me a placement at Netto, and I c...
