Re: Getting diagnosed
Well I saw my GP again this morning and it seems that the reason for my rejection was that my problems don't appear significant enough to warrant a referal. I understand that I've managed so far to get along in life without diagnosis and I have managed to work around my difficulties but the point fo...

Re: Issues Judging Depth
Funnily enough I have noticed that myself this weekend. I'm now learning in an Auto after 12months going nowhere in a manual (literally!!) My Instructor has coloured dot stickers on the dashboard and around the mirrors that are supposed to help with things like lining up the position of the car when...

Getting diagnosed
I'm feeling a bit deflated today. I went to see my GP a couple of months ago to get a referal for diagnosis. I got a letter around 3 weeks ago from the NHS telling me of 5 hospitals in my area that I could attend and today I got a call saying my referal was rejected and I need to see my GP to discus...

Re: Do you drive a manual or automatic car?
Thank you! The lesson was really good except for one thing... while we were driving to the quiet place to practice we went down a rural road. There is a lot of wildlife in this bit of my town and a phesant came from out of the bushes and darted across the road at top speed. It was clipped by the car...

Re: DOES ANY SLEEP A LOT LIKE 14 HOURS
When I was at Uni (about 10 years ago) I could go to sleep at midnight till 3pm the next day then be tired and back in bed by 11pm and wake around 10am. It was quite a stressful time so maybe all the reading too much for my brain. These days I don't really lie in anymore but it can be hard to drag m...

Re: Facebook
I'm with you Remus, I got far too paranoid about it. Mind you it didn't help that my ex was flirting with one of my so-called friends via her wall. I got rid of him and my Facebook account and feel loads better. Email is where its at for me!

Re: You know you're dyspraxic when
You know your dyspraxic when... you have used the moving walkways at Manchester Piccadilly train station twice a day, five days a week for the last four years but still have moments of terror when you step on or off them. Don't get me started on what happens when the one you are on is stationary so ...

Re: Do you drive a manual or automatic car?
I have my first automatic lesson tomorrow. I'm not nervous because I've had so many hours on the road in a manual but I am curious to experience the difference. Wish me luck!

Re: "Can we have a little chat?"
Hi Brad, I'm sorry your visit to the Dr was disappointing but at least you got a referral. It must be hard for GP's to have knowledge of all of the things they could possible have to talk to patients about but his attitude was disgusting. So much for bedside manner. I'm glad that your colleagues see...

I'm allergic to eggs, have been since I was about 3 I think. My throat gets itchy and my lips blister. They can be pretty easy to avoid unless you by a sandwich from the supermarket. B***** mayo!!!!

Re: "Can we have a little chat?"
Haha I wouldn't go that far!!! :-# Funny though most people have reacted with "I do that" or "I don't do that" when I've talked to them about it. We all just want to fit in I suppose. Maybe she'll reach her own conclusion from what you tell her ;) My GP was suprised I got to 30 w...

Re: "Can we have a little chat?"
Hi Brad, I did type you a really long reply but I lost it!!!!!! Very annoying! ](*,) Basically my point was that I think you should talk about it with your supervisor as I've been going through similar these past few weeks and my experience has been positive. My boss wasn't tactful ("I knew the...

Re: short fuses
I have a long fuse when it comes to other people... I find I'm quite forgiving of a lot of things but when I do lose my temper it is on an epic scale. My short fuse is when it comes to myself. I get frustrated at my clumsyness and my inability to do certain things. My lack social skills makes me ang...

Hiya to you both!
It's such a relief to know you are the same as other people isn't it?! Maybe it's everyone else that's wired up wrong
