Dyspraxics definetly suffer from sensory overload again i think this can be attributed to discoordination. I think Mindfulness and meditation may help to unload even though I cant vizualise I feel this is a method of unloading my mind aswell as ensuring i get sufficient sleep.

Hi Tim, Sorry for the delay in replying it will depend on demand how far we go we have only held 1 meeting so far that was in Edinburgh. I work as a application support analyst in a university previously i worked in finance in a college. Its not going aswell as I would have hoped only been here 3 months and on a years contract with the potential of becoming permanent could be busier I find i perform better when busier with my dysprax...

Have to agree Johanna when im stressed nothing beats a good soak in a hot bath also walk quite a bit that seems to help me to wind down.

I'm always leave jobs half done (I like to TRY to help my boyfriend out at his flat when I stay over) and he has to ask me if I've forgotten anything, a sort of gentle reminder, at which point I have to apologise and go back to whatever it was I was doing before my mind wandered :S It's no big deal...

Main problem is the public sector isnt interested in supporting this and the main dyspraxia bodies dont have enough funding i think its getting worse rather than better only way to spread the word of things is through social media and writing to politicians it seems.

I am now 31 years old I was only diagnosed at the age of 28 and faced many similiar problems to others on here I was bullied at school and not treated well by teachers so i dropped out of school at 15 and went to College for a few years and studied accounting.
